Dear CHS Parents:
This morning at about 11:30 AM, a contingent of officers from the county sheriff?s department came to our campus to request the records of three students who attended CEDU High School in 2001 and 2002.
These records have some relationship to a dispute between these former students. They did not request any files of current students or staff. We cooperated fully with the authorities and provided the records stipulated in their search warrant. As standard protocol, the sheriff?s department also brought along state licensing agents who did speak with a couple of our students.
Our normal school schedule was not interrupted, but of course this was an unusual event and our students had mixed reactions. We are being sensitive to their individual perception of the event and giving them the facts to what really happened. We are also sharing what we know with all staff members.

I'm considering reporting the school for killing a kid's grandfather. I was in Running Springs when that stupid braided rug kept rolling up and Jim Powell refused to fix it. We complained about it several times. Bill Valentine was there and a kid's grandfather tripped, broke his pelvis, and died at Loma Linda Hospital. This was pure neglect. What the hell is wrong with a school getting so much money and not salting the concrete walkways to get rid of the ice and letting an old guy die? Several staff were there. Bill told us to shut up about it and we did. So as far as we were concerned, Bill and Jim killed that old guy.
I heard on these posts that CEDU is closing. I can only hope. Is it? Have you read the hatred here? Why are people like LeTressa and Brandi promoted? Why are the most angry and abusive people the ones in power? I really want to know. I had to quit. The culture was sick - and I didn't respect the fake degrees so many staff got from California Coast College. I went to Loma Linda University - a REAL school. But I had to listen to people like Brandi and Russ boss me around.
I'm venting, I know. I'm still angry about CEDU and how abusive they are to staff and to the kids. And people like me are afraid to reveal our identities. I applaud you for doing so. I'm still afraid of CEDU. Geez... I hope you'll answer my questions. Thanks.

i'm no longer so hateful toward cedu. trust me, i hated them more than anyone for the longest time. i've learned to let go. i understand where they're coming from from a more clear perspective, and i realize that they're just a bit ignorant when it comes to their methods of helping. there are a lot of dumb people around there. and actually, the whole system is kind of dumb because they're so set in their ways, and they refuse to change even tho it would make a world of difference; when your method isn't werking, you try another until you get the desired result. wait, isn't that one of the things they taught us??? umm... again, they need to practice what they preach.
i've actually considered going back to werk there once i move back to california this year... i was to try to revolutionize the system, and pound into their heads that they need change. i want to be what dennis, robby, and randolph were for me.

I still would like to hear from any that have issues I can work with. The assaults, sexual abuse and cruelty to animals are things I can work with.

Im on a home visit and nothing better to do so i looked up cedu discussions. i was there for the whole search warant thing, it was fuckin nuts. about 10-15 cops rushed in and put up posts outside every exit and wouldnt let any staff leave. CEDU said this was a normal thing lol. I dont even hate the school that much anymore but I do see a lot of things wrong with it. A lot of you guys used to work at cedu? why dont you just post the shit thats inethical or illegal here and get that shit busted, they teach integrity your just useing it.

Check with the Bonners Ferry CPS Child Protective Services - they were there for the riot at Northwest Academy and have all the dope on how the schools operate at the Rocky Mountain Academy center. It is Exactly like CEDU and Owned by the same group - Brown Schools. Call Mike Starns at CPS 208 area code. Also see the spokesman review news stories at teenliberty.com. This is a national issue - It would save kids to get it in the press. I am afraid of them. I worked at BCA as a therapist and they ran me out for reporting to CPS instead of their "risk management" department. It is actually the "hide staff abuse department."

This is totally true that the state does nothing -I was there for 18 years. They pretend to care, so they can keep those jobs and make more jobs poliferating paperwork and bureaucracy.
In fact the State of Idaho has Fake Child Protective Services, Fake Adult and Childrens Mental Health, Fake Attorney Generals, fake prosecuters and a fake govener who protects no one except those who are rich and employ lots of people. Abusing kids or racketeering or whatever is fine with them. CEDU And Brown Schools is a RACKET and a CULT and the state of Idaho will do nothing. At least California is acting on rapes. There have been rapes at RMA and BCA and the sheriff, prosecurers and child protection ignore them.

I went to Boulder Creek Academy, from 2001-2003 and im sorry to say there isnt a whole lot to say between those years, ive heard stories but i myself didnt experience much. Everything that was done seemed to be soo secretive to the staff and therapists and there was only one man that let the kids in on things and he got fired, that stirred alotta things up for awhile as well.
There was a half-retarded kid there, kinda odd for a program that turns kids around. well he got kicked out whata mind fuck game for him it must have been, eh?
The thing about the staff always getting fired and hired kinda made the campus a bit more free though in a positive sense, i mean half the new staff didnt know what the fuck to do when they say kids running up to the woods or guys coming out of the girls dorm or watching Scarface on HBO...hell we did what we wanted some of the nights, haha except when the "older" program staff were running the floor.
Id have to say my worst experience was having all my shit taken away and having to wear a jumpsuit on 3 different occasions, they even pulled me out of class so i could work without tools on projects, having to weed extensively til my hands were bleeding or shovel shit.....me and my buddies started a group called the shovel shitters and we had numerous sayings we'd bellow out to staff as they walked by as we were shoveling the shit. I mean how worse could it get, i mean really.

This is really an irrelivant argument, but what the hell, I'll join in. A lot of specific professions use specific words that are not real words outside of a specifoc profession. In the counseling professions the word "empathetic" is a real word. It is usually used in a context of something like this "the therapist used empathetic responsing to reinforce the cliant/ therapist alliance."

yeah they had a warrant to get some stuff regarding to my case and a few other allegations similar to it, at the time 2 years after i left the school my therapist followed the mandatory reporting regulations... i never bothered to press charges because i knew nothing would come of it. anyways one of the representatives from the sherrif's department actually flew up to san fransisco (where i lived) to take the report. he told me that had a lot of complaints and similar allegations, but they just didn't have the concrete evidence, but they were still trying to build a case. after they searched the place he regretfully informed us that the school conviently seemed to have very bare records of us. in fact all they had was a transcript. and they didnt have any student who hadn't graduateds reports. he then told us that nothing would come of a criminal case, but if i wanted i would most definately win a civil suit (suing the school)... i talked to a few lawyers and decided against it, and soon enough cedu closed anyways.

I can't help but think of Tranquility Bay. Quite a bit of sexual abuse there. The big difference is that their abuse was out in the open, in front of other kids. (Based on what I've read.) I have a friend who had a sexual "relationship" with a staff for the entire second half of her stay at CEDU. He manipulated her, took advantage of her, messed with her head and stalked her after she left.
No one knew while she was at the school.
All I have to say is, watch out for the staff who want to make you their "favorite".
I was lucky. I only had one "favorite" staff who ended up sleeping with a student... out of four.

ok i know this happened ages ago but hold on a sec...who is this person saying 40 people were molested from 2000-2001? i think i would have remembered that incident??!?!?!? what the hell???
Not necessarily. Molesters are quite good at keeping their victims quiet, especially when there is the stockholm syndrome thing going on.
hahahaha ok...I don't think even child molesters are dumb enough to molest 1/3 a school's population over the course of a year. I'm sure one of them would've stopped and said 'wow, we're definitely gonna get caught...'
You know what else is dumb? Killing 6 million Jews, microwaving your baby to death, murdering your kids because your guru tells you then committing suicide.
abducting and torturing young adults for 30 years...people do crazy, evil things.. being "stupid" really has nothing to do with it...
Where I was, every kid sexually abused every other kid in the name of therapy, and the lead guru slept with favorites --with everyone in the camp knowing.
Not just "stupid"---stupid, evil, crazy, predatory, and enabled by corrupt and disinterested bureaucracy is the explanation
I can't help but think of Tranquility Bay. Quite a bit of sexual abuse there. The big difference is that their abuse was out in the open, in front of other kids. (Based on what I've read.)
