anyone a fan of the boondock saints? it's a terrific little cult film, kinda hard to find normally, some movie stores have it now, CHECK IT OUT
-
You see, that's an irrelevant topic too, but it's interesting so I don't criticize. What's this movie about? Who's directing it?
Peace!
-
It was directed by Troy Duffy in '99. It got shut out of theaters b/c of columbine since it was a little on the violent side. Its basically about these two Irish brothers in boston who fight back against the mob strongarming into their neighborhood. Theres some really good twists and it's a totally original plot. You should see it, it's a lot better than i can explain. http://www.theboondocksaints.com (http://www.theboondocksaints.com)

Cool. Thanks, dude.
-
no prob, bob. wuz just wondering if anyone else had seen it too
-
i have seen it, the character development is pretty swell, bu tthe direction leaves alot to be desired...
-
how do you figure? seriously) i'd put it up there with anything Tarantino's ever done
-
fuck Trantino, Kubrick and Scorcese, and ok Oly Stone gets my props, dont forget Michael Moore..
-
micheal moo ::hehehmm:: re blows
-
Anyone from Beantown has seen Boondock Saints-if not then they get taken to the meat plant in southie!
Chris V- boston resident 21 years-minus 32 months in poland springs

Fuk Tarintino!!??? Thats insanity, so what if he is a complete freak in reality, but Pulp Fiction stands alone among great movies. Few could possible create a movie like that one.

pulp fiction is great, however kill bill as far as good plot and realistic appeal glows, blows sweaty nuts... Tarantino has moved away from his plot driven films, and over to dookie driven doodoo
-
They should have left Kill Bill as one movie instead of chopping it up. The second one sucked on its own.

Oh, you're from Boston, too? Have you seen Monument Ave.?
-
forget you all. pulp fiction was great. kill bill, excellent, but not so much as pulp fiction. m. moore is a decent filmaker, but his politics are just too skewered up. anyone from boston should see the saints, but no violence against those who haven't. this film-o-tography thing is all just opinion anyways, i was jus looking for other saints

You must not watch any clasic Kung Fu movies at all. Not Shanhia Knights or crao like that. But i have an extensive collection and Tarintino has it to a T. Which is what he wanted to do. Classic style, Awesome music (as in all of his movies) And hey Uma in leather cmon, wada u? gay? jk. And lets not forget Jackie Brown.
couple old school Kung Fu fliks to check out though.
Snake in Eagles Shadow. (Jackie chan at 20 yrs old and in his PRIME)
10 Magnificient Killers.
Drunken Masters.
and
Crippled Masters.
Those will blow your mind away. But my favorite Chan fliks have to be
Drunken master And Legend of the Drunken Master. Must see TV.

Monument Ave. is way better than Boondock Saints. Not only is the story better, but it has Denis Leary in it. They have this one scene where they're doing lines, and I'm pretty sure that they did lines off camera before that because it seemed like they were legitimately wired and not acting.

Monument Ave.? never seen it, thanx for the tip
-
I take it as an insult that you've asked me if I've seen Monument Ave ( just kidding) Its like asking someone from da beans if they like nomah or jeter better
-chris v (remember benzino!!!)
