A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question
about it.

Either cocaine and marijuana are terribly dangerous substances, and breaking the law by consuming them is a major offense that should be severely punished, or these are minor, personal matters that do not really count in the big picture of a man's life. If the latter is the case, then the rationale for a bloody, costly and futile war against drugs simply disappears.

That's the picket. We will be back to picket in the near future until these people are removed from the board.

"I think a little more forethought should have gone into this. Although the protest in and of itself may not be a bad idea, carrying a sign that reads, in bold letters, "Stop Your Lies" in front of a Holocaust museum may cause a casual observer to think the protesters were revisionist Nazis trying to claim the Holocaust never happened. These things could be more effective if things like that were thought out in advance. When is Newton's deposition and is there a protest planned for it? "

Agreed. Any place is appropriate. However, there are a few things like the sign that need to be done to make it a more effective demonstration. Burning Miller Newton in effigy, a penis pump shaped homecoming-style float, and a bunch of people reenacting a bust ass rap complete with misbehavers being sat on are a few suggestions. Sales of Miller Newton dartboards and pistol targets could raise awareness and money at the same time. Perhaps a moment of silence followed by a reading of the list of names of Straight suicides over a bullhorn.

the war on drugs is but one manifestation, albeit a very dramatic one, of the great moral contests of our age -- the struggle between two diametrically opposed images of man: between man as responsible moral agent, 'condemned' to freedom, benefiting and suffering from the consequences of his actions; and man as irresponsible child, unfit for freedom, 'protected' from its risks by agents of the omnicompetent state.

A government resting on the minority is an aristocracy, not a Republic, and could not be safe with a numerical and physical force against it, without a standing army, an enslaved press and a disarmed populace.
