I remember when a misbehaver I was friends with was getting confronted for cliquing and looking at the girl's side. I had just gotten started over from a copout. I started motivating really hard to confront my friend, and I got called on. I just said, "Look, D----, I want to give you some positive credit, I think you're a good example to all the other wannabe misbehavers..." that was about as far as I got before the "OOH! OOH!" sounds of the motivating group drowned my voice out. The staff told me to have a seat after some phaser confronted me. That was the only time I gave positive credit in the group to someone who really deserved it.

Remember Scott Yancey? Poor kid. He was ALWAYS misbehaving and ALWAYS getting confronted and made fun of. I felt especially bad for him. He was such a little kid when he went in and his parents were SO gung ho about Straight. Didn't his mom work in the front office?

Yeah I read about him in some pro-Straight article on line. He got termed, and his mom stayed in the program as a host mother. He is clean now, sounds like Stepcraft, he was quoted as saying something like straight was where he was placed on the road to sobriety or something like that. Poor guy.

Yah I remember a poor dude named Vance H in Dallas (Executive drive bldg)
I think he was in 3 years or some shit when I got there. They didnt even confront him anymore..he just stared at the floor....for months..literally.
Every week his parents would come in and Mike talk him " You arent coming home until you commence"
I guess his parents bank acct dried up and they took him home and he promptly commited suicide :skull:

It's not a hell of a lot different from using any other rifle, just gotta learn to use the scope and have it adjusted. Wind, movement of target, caliber and stability of rounds, distance etc. comes into play, too, so get lots of practice......

I dont know bout your neck of the woods..but gun stores are more common than grocery stores in Texas..As long as you aint got a felony, you can be cocked and loaded with a handgun in 72 hrs..
You can get cocked and loaded with a rifle or shotgun as fast as they can ring that shit up.

I particularly remember the kid who would sit in group and shit and piss himself on a daily basis. He got sat on once but they left him alone after that. He eventually was withdrawn to Juvenile Hall of some sort. I was rebellious for about a day but quickly remembering my plan of a quick graduation. I was confronted for being full of shit one day and so I dropped the bomb after being started over. I cussed out the staff, group, higher powers of all kind, made up an exaggerated list of drugs that I hadn't previously mentioned. I was brutally honest from there on out with an occasional fake tear and embellished story from the past. I seven stepped in 7 months from that day. I had a few sketchy times at 7 step rap fearing the threat of being started over but I escaped their radar. They wanted me for junior staff but I found out that the staff members were getting high and having sex in the private offices. I knew I had to go back home and was glad to be an out-of-towner. It was nearly 3 years before my first beers and one day later is was my first glorious bonghit in as much time. The closer for that night was getting laid from a little college hottie with a big BUZZ.

Penny Walker still runs the place and much of the same shit that happened at straight is happening their in Milford to this date (Yep, KHK moved ironically into the old Straight Building near Cincinnati)
