If you own this CD and play the title track and skip to 4:56 in that song and listen to the High Hat cymbal...its insane..
And the strange thing about lateralus is the time signatures on the album all make a mathematic spiral....

Ok now I have lost the link..
It was this amazing..was almost written like a term paper..report written by a fan.
Anyway he found all these strange goings on within the album..
He discovered that the album is actually scrambled song order wise...
The CD as is...scrabled...makes a kind of story..
When you descramble and play the tracks in the other order it tells another story almsot..
Also almost all of the beats make Mathematic spirals..
The correct descrambled order of the songs...make a spiral..
And theres alot Im forgetting it was just insane and Im sorry I cant find the link...nor do I remember where I got it..
I made a thread about it somewhere but when I went to look it only archives the last 20 pages of threads (site gets a ton of Traffic)
and by now the lateralus thread is back on like 40...
