Title: can we stop calling him doctor?
Post by: Anonymous on February 20, 2004, 09:15:00 AM
can we stop referring in posts on and on the sites to miller newton as "reverend doctor miller newton". since it's been proven that he's not even a real doctor, i really don't think we should honor him with that title. he may indeed be a reverend, but as his actions come to light and he's let go by church after church that title will hopefully lose any meaning as well. this guy is a loser who always wanted to be a doctor but just couldn't make it. to refer to him as doctor is an insult to doctors worldwide. i think we should merely refer to him as "little milty newster". he's nothing more than a fly on our collective shoulders. what's everybody else think?

Well, speaking for myself, I'm being snide when I call him the Reverend, Dr., Dr., Fr. Virgil Miller "Cassian" Newton. Of course, we all know he's just a tiny little, mean spirited control freak who, had it not been for the Drug War gravy train, would probably have been just another anonymous child molesting wife beater.

But "Just Virgil" or Fr. Cashin will do, if you please.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins; all of them imaginary.
