I have been researching the teen abuse industry in America for quite some time, and when I found out that a graduate of an American 'discipline academy' is about to establish a facility in my country, I decided to investigate.
The man graduated from a place called Rocky Mountain Academy. I don't really have that much info about that place or its approach to kids, but I want to learn as much as possible so that I'll be able to notify the authorities in case it's an abusive program. I'll appreciate anything you can tell me about it.
Thanks.

Who is the guy? In which country is he planning to open a facility?

The man is a former officer in our Navy. It appears that he has won the support of several officials over here, including the minister of defense. He says that he adopted something called "dynamic group" (or something like that, I can't quite remember) from RMA, which he had modeled after the American program. He also brought in instructors from RMA to train his staff.
Military officers, especially from the prestigious unit he was part of, are very highly regarded over here. He says his program focuses on education and preparation for military service, and is 3 years in duration.
I'm worried-- I've read so many horror stories about the terrible condition in the States, I would really hate for something like this to happen over here...

In answer to your original question, you can find out a fair bit by just searching this forum. I skimmed quickly through the hits and the place seems to be CEDU-related.
You say you have been 'researching' the teen abuse industry. Is this academic research? Are you a journalist? How did you find out about this person and his plans? Are there any newspaper articles you can point us to?

I am not a journalist, a psychologist, or anything like it... I haven't even graduated from highschool yet (got 3 more months to go). I have been researching the subject online for several months after reading that Guardian article about Tranquility Bay. There was an article in one of our leading papers about this guy and his plans, and that's how I found out about it. I couldn't find the article on the paper's website, but since that website doesn't have an English version, I suppose it doesn't really matter, as no one here will be able to read it.

You still didn't say what country you are from....
we'd like to know where this guy is planning to open.
are you from the UK?

If you are talking about the rocky Mountain academy in Idaho it was in the news at the Spokane Wa newspaper- they were under fire for the treatment of child they held.
don't quote me on this but...one example if I remember correctly was that kids were made to sit on barstools in the snow for long periods of time..I think they've had lawsuits filed against them for abuse...search the newspapers in the area they operate and call the local childrens services agencies, BBB, police etc...
