II was just thinking to myself, after reading Sheik Yerbouti's posts and reading about the protest that maybe we could have a letter writing campaign. If we had the names and addresses of the people on the museum board, we could write them letters and talk in respectful way about what happened to us in Straight, and explain how we feel that its against the interest of the Holocaust Museum to have tyrants on their board and that we support the purpose the museum serves the community. It?s important for us to remember these past atrocities, the real holocaust and the Straight legacy, so these terrible crimes and the cycle of hate and tyranny stop.
I understand Sheik?s point that it may be easy for outsiders to misinterpret what we are doing so we should do everything we can to make our intentions clear. I also believe we should be protesting Sembler?s ambassadorship and his status at the museum, because he does not stand for America?s ideals nor do I think he represents the ideals of the museum.
