What a distressing contrast there is between the radiant intelligence of the child and the feeble mentality of the average adult.

That killed the kid?!
Just kidding

Its things like this that threaten my sanity with why my daughter was taken from me.....and people like this are even allowed to pro-create....why God wouldnt render her womb permanently barren.
Unfortunately, this and countless things like it happen everday, all over the world, to good people and to bad. Its our lot in life as human beings...violence and death. However, it can be quite easy to pull safety blinders down over the reality of it.
-
And people wonder why I hate to leave the house..

Events like these shake my beliefs.
If life is truly predetermined or guided by God/Creator, then why must so many innocent people be harmed? Is it for the experience of it? Some religions believe we choose our parents before birth. I don?t know if this is true, but if it were, why would someone want to feel the emotions like the child in Atlanta? But on the other hand how can one truly understand the human experience if they don?t reincarnate into all the different aspects of our life here. I believe in reincarnation purely based on different experiences in my life that I can?t explain. I was here before. So the only solace in this story could be, that this entity, ?the little girl in Atlanta?, was once a rich person, or one a beautiful horse, or once a great mother, or father. Maybe it was time to learn about atrocities?
Hell none of us know why these things happen, even the abuse that we personally suffered. Most us here are very good people with big hearts. And along those lines, do you think that we would care as much as we do if we hadn?t gone through Straight or similar abuse? I think the answer is no. That?s why it?s so hard to explain our ?Straight stories? to the average person. They never experienced anything like this. They just can?t relate to it.
I hope the spirit of the child is OK somewhere in the universe. The only good thing is that she is done with her terrible parents.

Maybe it was time to learn about atrocities?
Or maybe it's all just a crap-shoot.
-
You may be correct. The fact is nobody knows for sure. That?s what gets me about religious zealots that are so arrogant that they think they have the answers to life, the universe and everything. That?s bull hockey. We are just simple humans. The Hubble Space Telescope looks at images of our galaxy 2 billion light years away. WE DON?T HAVE THE ANSWERS. And anyone that claims to know the ?TRUTH? is delusional at best and in denial of the basic fact that we don?t know for certainty what happens when we die. You may believe in certain religious stories but first hand experience is a different matter. I?m smart enough to know that I don?t know, and that?s ok. Why is it that humans ?have to know? I guess it all comes down to control. If you don?t know, then your not in control of your destiny.
I?m ok with not knowing. I just live life the best I can, that?s all I can do.

ASCEND to talentless clownship- The most efficient
form of instruction alternates between forgetfulness
and remembrance- It will pose as a word to bait the
curious- GOD is all a speaker can say, potentially
culminating in a terrible concussive pitch until your
corresponding air-mate molds you, killing the
president within you- Reciting the invisible
reflections of random adaptations in concert with
imaginary conditions- Hike the skirt of the blossom so
that its intricate tubing may frustrate your lust for
believing, because the eye is the axle of the
industrious wheel of vision, its linchpin being the
violence of thought- Consider the coordination
required to form the word DESTROY while pulling your
hair and hopping foot to foot as if wandering across
the skillet of the world, animating your clothing
until you must hush the grave

Uuuh you guys can have god...

"God is nothing more than an obsessive lie.."

Christians have killed more people throughout history than any other group of people...
-
Therion,
You are correct about the Christian?s killing people. It?s horrible. I don?t buy into the dogma. However I have had numerous experiences in my life that show me there is something more than what we perceive as reality. I am spiritual not religious.

This child was murdered by her psychotic, mentally ill parents. Schizophrenic and bipolar psychoses frequently manifest as religious ideation or rituals. Thanks to Geraldo Rivera's "civil rights" efforts back in the 80's, the state mental health system (at least in Georgia) has completely deteriorated. Psychiatric patients in need of hospitalization were turned out into the streets--anyone who lives in Atlanta is aware of the everpresent homeless population. I think it's shameful that Americans do not have equal access to decent healthcare. It's equally disturbing that the other 2 children are in state custody. Georgia's DFCS system is a crock--there are quite a few children who have died here in state foster care.

Geraldo Rivera is one of the biggest idiots ever..

Amen to that, Ms. Hedwigfan. This is one of the things I watch as it coincides with the father's rights issue I am so fond of. Here are a couple of links to stuff:
