I have relayed your very understandable concerns in this matter to my contact in Florida. My contact has spoken again with the law firm and now better firms up the meeting that will occur in Florida on 29 December. The latest information is at:

As I understand it, if a class action or some similar type of action actually materializes out of this, then yes, others will be able to join later.
The point of this meeting is to find out if there's enough interest and an actionable cause among program vets. Hopefully, 50 or more ppl will show up representing a range of locations, times and causes for action. After that, the lawyers will go over the material they gather at the meeting and decide if and how to proceed from there.
