The guy who allegedly started The Total Transformation comes out of Daytop. I'm not entirely convinced that he's the sole originator; I get the feeling he may have had some help in the presentation and marketing of this particular enterprise.

Nevertheless, all in all, the TTT "program" requires parents to purchase a series of "how to" parenting CDs and doesn't necessarily involve sending the child away to be put into an alien "therapeutic milieu" under the direction and control of others. So, it's potentially a lot less invasive of an "intervention," and the possibility for harm done is hopefully more minimal...

Still, it IS a potential market for exploitation and revenue, which seems to be of inordinate interest to Ms. Scheff, fwiw.
