Word on the street is that All About Receiving Cash is being represented on a contingency basis. Of the four women sued following the Fifth Estate program, it is unlikely that any could pay anything like the millions of dollars in damages sought by AARC. That being the case, how was the firm to git paid? Rumors abound, but I think it scurrillous to suggest that the suits were brought in an effort to get the women to recant and support a big payday from CBC.
Who could say?
What indeed could account for this firm, Bennett Jones, a founder of the Council on Foreign Relations, to get involved when there was no reasonable chance of recovery of fees?
