Title: Single gender facilities and possible get out method

While researching the soon to close New Leaf Academy (http://http://wiki.fornits.com/index.php?title=New_Leaf_Academy), I looked at the facebook group of former detainees. Here a number of them got kicked out when they told the staff that they were shifting their focus from boys to girls. It seems that the only choice the girl-only academy had to meet this personal choice was to kick the girls out.

How is that problems addressed at other single gender faciliities?
