Epitaph on Ben Franklin's grave, composed by the decedent and stipulated in his will
              "The body of
        Benjamin Franklin, printer,
      (Like the cover of an old book,
            Its contents worn out,
    And scripts of it's lettering and gilding)
       Lies Here, food for worms!
     Yet the work itself shall not be lost,
For it will, as he believed, appear once more
                 In a new
         And more beautiful edition,
          Corrected and amended
                By it's Author!"

Does this sound like someone who thought he had a one way ticket?

People who are willing to give up freedom for the sake of short term security, deserve neither freedom nor security.
