Title: Intellectuals Are the Shoeshine Boys of the Ruling Elite
Post by: Froderik on October 18, 2010, 04:01:51 PM
Let's hear it.

Let's hear how great this administration is doing.

Let's hear about how we should learn to be more tolerant of Islam.

Let's hear how "it's all the Republicans' fault," and that only a flag-waving, bible thumping zealot wouldn't have voted for Obama.

Let's deny the disgusting race-baiting that is going on. The cheap shots...making ludicrous statements like, "the Republicans are hoping that the blacks stay home on election day" and other such nonsense.

Let's hear about how great "Obamacare" is!

"Democracy"?? You've got to be kidding. Wall St is more like it.

Anyone who buys into this bullshit has their head pretty fucking far up their ass.

What are you trying to say, Frod?  Don't be so cryptic.  Tell us what you REALLY think.

Hmmm, I don't think I've seen anyone post any of that.

Maybe not lately, but before the election people couldn't shut up about how great everything was going to be when Obama got elected.

So where are all of those idiots now? Hah!

I dunno.  I think a lot of people are disappointed, angry, frustrated etc.  Doesn't make me miss "W" though.  Like I said, I've been voting for a lot of 'write-in' candidates lately.

And, like I said yesterday, if the Republicans stuck to what they're supposed to be....I'd probably vote Republican.  But they don't.

Absolutely not, me neither; Obama is continuing W's agenda, at least with the Patriot Act.

They seem to be much more interested in trying to legislate what people are doing in their bedrooms or with/to their own bodies than anything else.

Try some write-in voting.  In one a while back, I voted for Iggy Pop!   :seg2:   It at least made me feel a little better.

Yeah this is what really gets me about them. It probably works to their detriment, too...or maybe not...

Well, they play to their base and since the Moral Majority took over the Republican party years ago, they get away with it.  But they don't really do anything.  So many 'single issue' voters (like abortion.....most anti-abortion people will vote solely based on that) vote for Reps, expecting them to overturn Roe v. Wade or something similar, but it never happens.  The Reps use their base to get the votes and then just go on with business as usual.
