Susie Q (who gave the thumbs down to Inside Edition) lists her occupation as "family coach".

Damn, I wish I'd seen this! Who was the young man and to what was he refering as all lies?

"The FARC is part of the history of Colombia and a historical phenomenon", (President Pastrana) says, "and they must be treated as Colombians". ... They come and ask for bread [aid from Washington], and you give them stones.

Robert White is a former American ambassador to Paraguay and El Salvador, and former No. 2 man with the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, is president of the Centre for International Policy in Washington D.C.

Since I know her, let me answer this one. She's a single mom that had a son in a wwasps program.  She worked in a youth drop in and residential program in the late 70's.  I think her major was psychology, but I'm not positive about that.  She staffed a seminar I was in a couple of years ago. She also used to be the support group leader here in Phoenix.   When I learned that she was doing the coursework to be a family coach, I was not surprised, she's a very cool lady that really does care if those kids are successful.  She has her own private practice, but also does some after care coaching for wwasps families.

Why do you ask?

Let me guess, a family couch means an individual who receives thousands of dollars for referring teens to WWASP?s abusive programs?

The Coaching Academy is for those who simply can't get enough of the program. It is the perfect follow-up training for all of the facilitator wannabes.

There are 5 weekend sessions between Feb and July. Throughout that time there is homework to be completed and participants are required to document 80 hours of coaching. They also submit case studies and tapes for evaluation. After that they receive a Resource Performance Coach certificate from Resource Realizations. Cost for Visions grads is $5800; for program grads accompanied by parent the cost is $2800; for program grads not with parent the cost is $3500.
I can't imagine what this certificate is good for outside of the program.

For anyone interested in a certificate without having to travel or do any homework, I am offering certificates in "Judyism". Just send me your $5800 and I will send you the best looking certificate that my inkjet will produce. I'm certain that in the real world mine is as useful as theirs.

Oops, I just remembered nobody has any money left....

If you really want that certificate just send 20 bucks and a SASE.

Judy - the coaches are certified by the Academy of Coaching, International Coaches Federation and are Certified Performance Coaches.  They do receive extra certification and curriculum for coaching families - any family - that has had a teen in any sort of behavior change program, wilderness program, etc., that are transitioning home.  They are not limited to wwasps families and some of them do contract with Resource Realizations, some do not. From what I saw on the arizona site, this coach is also coaching for prevention - doing something to keep them OUT of a program if at all possible - something like crisis or breakdown coaching.

If you're assuming a huge payment by wwasps, maybe send her an e-mail and see what she says??

How would I find out if Susan Webber is a coach with wwasp and if she coaches others.  Prevention would be a good thing right now and I like what it says about it.  Anyone know? Or do you care?
