Title: Happy times in China are over
Post by: Oscar on June 08, 2010, 05:22:07 AM
As we stated in a previous mail, we were happy with the fact that staff in boot camps that kills the inmates were punished according to the law.

We were also happy to learn that all the existing treatment methods of the so-called illness called "Internet Addiction Disorder" were banned months ago.

But today we learned that the camps were not shut down. 14 detainees at the Huaian Internet Addiction Treatment Center (http://http://wiki.fornits.com/index.php?title=Huai%27an_Internet_Addiction_Treatment_Center) managed to escape, but they were brought back by the police at the commands of their parents to endure a lot more of this life-threatening "treatment".

We issued a press-release about this yesterday: China not ready to cancel killings of teenagers (http://http://secret-prisons-for-teens.blogspot.com/2010/06/china-not-ready-to-cancel-killings-of.html)

We are very disappointed.
