Remember this kid whose fundalmentalist christian parents sent him away in 1998 for calling his younger brother a "butthead" (among other equally minor transgressions) and who reportedly told the 2 big burly strangers his parents hired to yank him out of bed and whisk him out of the country to
"go get a real job"? Whatever happened to him? He was 16 when his story first made national headlines in Time magazine so he must be about 21 years old now.

The last I heard about him - and this is strictly hearsay, I don't know it for a fact - was that he "bought in" to the program big time. Supposedly he embraced WWASPs values wholeheartedly and became a "program kid" who praised the program as the best thing that ever happened to him. However, even if that information is accurate it's several years old so there's no telling if he still feels that way. Sounds like classic "Stockholm Syndrome" to me. It's not to be wondered at, since he was raised by religious fanatics. He's been conditioned all his life to believe what he's told to believe on the assurance that he will go to hell if he doesn't. Besides which, the news stories give me the impression that he wasn't exactly an intellectual giant in the first place.

David Van Blarigan ... the kid who started it all ... WHERE ARE YOU?

After TB, where was DVB sent? Casa By The Sea?

Why would they send someone from Tranquility Bay TO Casa? Doesn't make sense, they always threatened the boys at Casa with being sent to TB.

They often send higher level kids to one of the not-so-tough facilities as a stepping stone to going home.

Well, that may be true but sheesh, from what I have read about CBTS, that wasn't no cake walk.

Jeff,
Incorrect.
