What about the option "I don't have parents?"

Or the option "I don't have parents _anymore_".

On a completely unrelated note, anyone want to come over? I've got about 200 pounds of meat here and I can't possibly fit it all into the fridge or make enough jerky before it starts rotting. Several large bones for your dogs, too. Tastes kinda like pork, but lots greasier.

T.A.C.,

What about you’ve been told that an imprint of one or your parents is embedded in your psyche as an introject; via an early childhood survival response, to the experience of being raised by evil?

Depends entirely on who told you that... and if they're invisible.

I'm 14 years out of a program and have a truly wonderful relationship with my family.

However at 5 years out things were still pretty strained. Honestly I think age and experience play a huge factor in familial relationships regardless of time spent in a program.
