I have been a way for a while, but Wes's site says that the account has been suspended??
Was there no way that we could keep everything online at www.thestraights.com (http://www.thestraights.com)?
It would be such a shame to lose all of his work.

I do want it make it known to anyone that may have the authority to pass such a baton that I would be more than honored to take thestraights.com into the fold and give it a home to preserve all of Wes' work.
Ginger and I helped to salvage and resurrect kidsofnorthjersey.com when it was having difficulty and was in danger of going away forever. I found it a good home and it is still online today.
My primary focus since 2001 has been my own website at kidsofelpaso.com, but I am certain that I have enough room for thestraights.com.
I would certainly hate for all Wes' efforts to be stifled because hosting bills didn't get paid, etc.

What happened?! I distinctly remember reading in one of these threads, shortly after Wes' death, that the site would be maintained and kept available. Did someone drop the ball?

Looks like. Main problem I see is nobody ever knew who had the ball. It *is* a shame. Hopefully there is a way to pay his bill on his behalf or something like that.

If someone organizes the technicalities, I will send a MO to keep it going. NO joke.

Aw, now I feel abashed for having spent some time WHO spectating and speculating the WHO topic. Though, I have to admit that was fun.
Anyway, I would be happy to contribute to some of the cost of preserving Mr. Fager’s information. Hopefully, someone will find a way.

I thought Bradbury had that under control... what's up? I sure hope all's not lost.

Well, money's not a problem. There are several people, in addition to yenz above posters, who are ready to pay a hosting fee. If I can gain authorization from the hosting provider, I was just going to move everything over here. (Now here, we still have a few bucks outstanding but I'm sure it'll get covered before it's very late).
The trouble is just getting the authorization letter, well written and properly worded, from a grieving widow without troubling her too much over these niggling details.
Patience is all we need, really.
