Who gives a flying fuck about you people and your anger toward PURE? Why don't y'all get off your high horse, quit bitching about PURE and try adn do something good, like stopping the WWASP folks, or closing down SAFE, or AARC or CEDU or Pathways or Growing Together. Why do you waste your energy bitching. Y'all sound like a bunch of fucking cackling hens.
-
Ditto above. Enough is enough already.
-
If you don't like what you are reading here why don't you go somewhere else?
-
You ask the fairly off-color person to go somewhere else? This is raw passion, and not piddling around with which referral company is worse. To the outside world, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN DIRECTED HERE TO FIND MORE INFORMATION BEFORE MAKING A CHOICE TO PLACE A TEEN OR TRY TO WORK IT OUT AT HOME, it carries so much more weight than your inscruitable shit about some group mostly nobody ever heard of.
Parents...listen to this kid! I know it sounds like your kid right now. It is an angry, defensive, scared voice, and it is you who he really loves underneath it all who can save him. Talk. Listen. Compromise. Work it out.
No company on earth can reverse this anger unless they break the will first. Destroy the child, and then rebuild. Is this what you really want?

"piddling around with which referral company"
PURE is a referral company. WWASPS are the programs, not a referral company.
You seem to be making some very strong accusations, a grandmother that is bent out of shape because the mother is doing what she feels is best and has excluded you from her life. Have you not teamed up with this referral company in hopes of bringing her home?
I'd like to hear what you are doing to make this happen outside of voicing your complaints.

It appears, for all intents and purposes that WWASP (or some aspect) could indeed be considered a referal service. They just refer to their own (friends and family) programs, which are intimately, but covertly linked under the WWASP umbrella.
I consider WWASP to be both- a conglomerate of programs and a referal service, as well as an escort service. It's just difficult for the average person to see this. One would have to dig deep to uncover the relationships between the different enitities- which I have read, was to avoid or limit liability.
If one of your abusive programs is shut down, you don't want that effecting the others; so you
spin the illusion (legally and publicly) that they are all independent.
And if all the programs are truly independent. Then WWASP MUST be a referral company, because every website you visit has all the WWASP programs listed.

DEBORAH,
I ADMIRE YOUR POSTS AND YOUR ABILITY TO SEE INSIDE THIS GLASS HOUSE. WWASPS IS CONSIDERED THE CONSULTANT TO THE MARKETING TEAMS OF TEEN HELP, TEENS IN CRISIS, TEEN AT RISK, AND ALL THE OTHER MARKETING SCAMS THEY CREATED.
THANKS DEBORAH FOR GIVING US OBJECTIVE THOUGHTS.

Spots, others have raw passion too. Why do they not have a right to state it here on this board without you getting all bent out of shape just because it does not mirror yours?
It is really hypicritical that people, like yourself, think they can come to this board and state what they believe but then when someone else challenges that belief they are wrong for doing so.
So once again if you don't like what you are reading here then go somewhere else.
You can probably ask to be added to PURE's message board "trekers" and then you will be hearing only what you want to hear and you will be speaking only what they want you to speak.

You ask: "Why do they not have a right to state it here on this board without you getting all bent out of shape just because it does not mirror yours? It is really hypicritical that people, like yourself, think they can come to this board and state what they believe but then when someone else challenges that belief they are wrong for doing so."

I do not have any problem with people stating what they believe, e.g., that WWASPS programs benefit their family. I don't believe it, but I don't begrudge their right to state their feelings. What I object to vehemently is the sly, sarcastic, continuing, totally false statements attributing all negative comments (and information, even backed up by published articles) to the subtrefuge of PURE. It has obviously touched a nerve here, and you appear to have learned at a Master's knee to confront any weakness and twist the knife (it is difficult for readers to verify the source of comments, even though Ginger has authoritatively stated the ISP's do not support a PURE conspiracy). I have asked a couple of questions on voyforum, and you will note that I have not responded negatively. I asked; they answered; OK. It appears you have been active on voy, however, as there are posts referring to PURE, to which the general readership must be saying, "What the hell?..."

"You can probably ask to be added to PURE's message board "trekers" and then you will be hearing only what you want to hear and you will be speaking only what they want you to speak."

Sigh....think, Ronald Reagan here...there you go again. I have visited PURE's website occasionally, but was immediately turned off the first time by the blatant offer to arrange escort services. I feel this practice will be proven illegal, as will the violation of civil rights of a minority child by incarcerating him without due process. It just will take time and a serious challenge to implement or change current law.
I also must admit I have a problem with my daughter and her conviction of sending my grandaughter away. This is not how she was raised herself. I really don't like the separation from this child, but what I REALLY don't like is what is being done to her in WWASPS. I cannot seem to break down the cult thinking that has gripped my daughter, so I, like others here, have dedicated ourselves to bringing down the cult itself.
To think you have insight into our personal family dynamics, and to state as much in a public forum, thereby slandering our entire family, represents your basic lack of morality. Perhaps this is why I think, "there are our kind of people and then there are your kind of people". BTW, I think the swearing, sputtering kid that started this thread has greater moral character than you. He is upfront.

. What I object to vehemently is the sly, sarcastic, continuing, totally false statements attributing all negative comments (and information, even backed up by published articles) to the subtrefuge of PURE.
How do you know they are false?
Since when are published articles biblical?
What amazes me the most is that all you have to go on is what you are being told by those associated with PURE. This whole case is about a war being waged against WWASP by PURE.
The discussion of PURE infuriates only those who know they have links and ties to PURE, you included.
-
Hey, you guys are right! PURE must really be making a dent, because WWASP-ies can't even think straight. That's their main target. They don't even bother with talking about WWASP and real issues.
Go, PURE! even though I think behavior modification schools in any form are stupid.
-
I guess if you looked at it from the outside, you would be 'upfront' in seeing what others see. WWASP supporters, maybe, but others are not and see what you seem to be defending. The court documents (www.purerebuttal.com (http://www.purerebuttal.com)) show that PURE is capable of flooding boards with posts that make it sound like abuse is rampant at WWASP programs. So when someone posts these sorts of allegations it LOOKS like it is from someone from their place of business, employee or supporter. No one can take them seriously anymore. Kinda like crying wolf.
The only people that consider WWASP a cult or cult-like seem to be the ones that haven't 1) been in a WWASP program, or 2) have had a child in one and haven't gone to the seminars to see what it's REALLY all about for the parents and families. If they had, it is my belief that they are far from a cult, but a group of people that have been through hell prior to their child being in one of their schools and support each other. There is a big difference between cult and support.
Deborah has never been a part of a WWASP school/program, but yet seems to be finding all kinds of information to make herself right and everyone else wrong for doing what works. Fear is a great detractor from what's really important.

SPOKEN LIKE A GOOD FOLLOWER. SAW MOST OF THAT JARGON ON THE BBS AT ONE TIME.
-
What jargon is that?
-
We keep junking up the board with pure shit, because all of this that is going between PURE and WWASP is PURE shit.

Or, conversely, the only people who cannot plainly see that WWASP is a cult are current members.
It continues to amaze me to talk to law students -- college
graduates all and smarter than the average bear -- who will
seriously tell me about how dangerous mj is and how it
destroys the lives of those who use it and who, in the
very next sentence, will tell me how they and their
friends -- now CPAs, engineers, med students -- used
pot regularly through high school and college. And
they don't see the contradiction between these statements.
We're not just talking ignorance here -- we are talking
deep down, serious, religious indoctrination.

That Jargon is from Anthony Robbins, Eckhart Tolle and Don Miguel Ruiz among others. Read much?
