I'd like to see some students sue HLA for strip searches that parents weren't informed of or consented to while enrolled at HLA.

sorry to burst your bubble, but it is highly unlikely that all strip searches in all schools will become suddenly illegal regardless of the ruling.
consider the fact that HLA already operates in a somewhat legal "dead zone". they avoid/avoided having to follow the same regulations as most other schools by labeling themselves as a specialty school which is exempt from standard protocol. The case you mention is regarding a public school i believe, and public schools have different rules than private schools....not to even get into the complexity of the practically non-existent/non-functioning regulatory bodies and laws governing specialty schools like HLA. regardless of the ruling, HLA will find a way to weasel out of getting in trouble for it.
i know, it sucks. i want them to go down too. but you have to do a little research and think about things a little bit more before you start yelling sue! sue! sue! up on your soapbox. makes you look like a foolish idiot who is not willing nor able to personally take legal....or otherwise... action.
