So I just found a thing about a leaked "reward and penalty" system for detainees at gitmo.

YES. I read an article about the psychology of torture in the New Yorker. All of my program and parental abuse maladaptions were explained quite well.
Mel Sembler- of straights fame- raised the funds to legally defend that bush official who voiciferously supported, and organized the torture of  US detainees.
Maybe they get their ideas straight from him?

Without going into depth (I'm sick right now)the new "soft torture" is precisely the methodology of programs. And it's noted to be more effective than "tradtional torture." Go to the "new yorker" site, and search for torture. It's very illuminating...
