Everyone in the WGA is a no-talent, miserable hack.
Why the networks don't just fire them all and hire masses of willing scab laborers is a complete mystery to me.
Then again, I stopped watching TV years ago for its shittiness.

Wow, using the word, EVERYONE is a very strong generalization. Don't ye think so?
There are a lot of great writers that are members of the guild that kick ass in my humble opinion.

I don't know, perhaps the OP makes a pretty good point. Most TV really sucks ass these days. Sitcoms sure as fuck ain't what they used to be. So you think that there are a lot of great WGA writers. Like who, for instance?

the people who write south park, colbert/stewart, family guy, and adult swim are fucking awsome. otherwise, every soap oprah, sitcom, and talk show can go to hell. with the exception of just a handfull of good moments, they all suck.

Yes, I do think that there are still great writers involved with TV shows. Here is one example: David E. Kelley,Lawrence Broch, and
Janet Leahy. These are the main writers for the show Boston Legal.
They are creative and also tackle a lot of mainstream issues that have been an ongoing problem in our society. I view these writers as daring and not afraid to be controversial and go against the grain. That I respect immensely.
In my original post all I was saying is that the original poster made a very grand generalization claiming that "Everyone" in the writers guild basically sucks, and I simply think that statement is very harsh and unwarranted. I also do like the writers of south park and a few others. I never claimed that all tv writers are good or even excellent. I do feel there are some still that are pretty great, though.
