Title: to apply or not?
Post by: Anonymous on December 26, 2007, 10:39:31 AM
I am considering applying for disability. I have been suffering from ptsd for a long time and have not recieved any support or theropy for it. I would not recieve anything monitary however it would be an aknowledgement of the childhood trama I suffered in straight. I have kept silent and stayed ashamed for so long living in the shadows of trama. I have been to afraid to seek help or support and I see now that it would be very healing for my suffering to be aknowledged and legitimized. I still have doubts as to the possibility of getting real help and support. I still fear being retramatized and told its all in my head or to get out of my head. I am sick of this crime going unaknowledged let alone being unpunished. Is this a frutile quest or should I pursue disability? I would be lying if I said it hasn't severly altered my life in very negative ways, not that I am not strong. I have had to be extremely strong, alone, and iscolated. Has anyone here gone down this road? Thanks, this forum has been my only form of support!

Are you saying the program still owns you?  Still controls you?

Interesting - this captcha reads "vietnam one"

Vietnam Won?

the program traumatizes an individual in such a way, that they never fully recover.

are you (the previous poster) saying that the program does not own you? were you even in a program? if you recovered, let us know how you did it.

thanks

well I actually wasn't aware that it was in fact influencing the choises I've made...It's like the child who has an alcholic parent, then marries one? You don't want to but you do. I have since connected the dots and am very angry about the abuse I sustained and survived as a teen in a straight spin off in late 80's. I have been silenced by trama and shamed for so long, now I'm angry and I want an aknowledgement of these crimes...that still continue today! If more of us demanded aknowledgement from the gov. maybe they would see it is not in their best interest to support these private abuse mills!

I escaped Straight Stoughton back in '86, called my alcoholic parents to tell them to have a wonderful life, finished school, made a life of my own.

When I discovered this place, I was obviously thinking about it.  But my thoughts drifted more to "what were the parents thinking?"   There are moments of incredulous anger, but it certainly doesn't control me.

Trolls. So predictable. So repetitive. Vague shaming statement to a survivor "for not moving on whith his/her life", contrasts their own  "moved on life".

i agree.

we are here to heal and i appreciate all who share their story. what happened was/is a CRIME.

has anyone reading here taken legal actions that they could share with us?  i called a lawyer in west palm beach by the name of barry silver. my source *trevor aaronson" said 'he was the man'

barry silver is knowledgable about straight/growing together and when i explained that my amnesia recently lifted and i was having terrible flashbacks about the unspeakable abuse.... all he said was... it will never hold up in court.

we have a canadian example of child abuse that held up in court after many years and many tragedies. it is the accessed by the name DUPLESSIS ORPHANS.

the program taught children to mindlessly attack each other, kindness may still be vacant in some hearts. can we be gentle and supportive of each other? i think most of us are.

hey, we know the government has experiemented with human psyches and more. if we don't take them on, if we don't hold all who are responsible for this mind-rape accountable... well that seems like a huge job, but it's the only one i care about now. NO MORE CHILDREN SHOULD DIE OR SUFFER.

many advocates have worked hard towards this goal, with some impact, but how can we do more?. i here, i'm ready, i'm willing, though bruised and fractured, i will never rest until we make our voices heard and respected.

thanks for listening.

Just so happened I was visiting the 'rents, so the thoughts took me back.

A "troll", if you would read your 'net dictionary, is one that posts only to inflame.

I only suggested you not let bad memories control you, but I can see by your immature name-calling, that you're still stuck in adolescence.

you're a troll that doesn't necessarily inflame as i have bigger fish to fry. are you insulted that you have been called a troll. ?

but you like it, you like to hurt people, it's okay, maybe someday you'll get over it.

what fuels your judgement?. you are very interesting because you are doing the same thing that you act insulted about that others are doing to you.

why don't you just go take a shit, then flush, oh sorry there you go down the toliet, bye mother fucker and i'll be an adolesant name-caller if i wanna be.

FUCK YOU TROLL BREATH

hey does that take anyone back to RAPS and FLAPS?
this was s'pose to be a post about someone who needs medical help and it has turned into pure nonsense.

please lets help each other. thanks for listening

What is a troll?

It was merely suggested you crawl out of the hole you've dug, and you seem respond with the same tripe over and over.

I suggest you look up the word "irony".  To learn the word might be the first step in the therapy you seek.

Interesting. Of course, if the op reported that the program helped him, that would be possible. However, if he reports that the program hurt him it's his fault.

You know, if something can save someone from death, insanity, and imprisonment, it can also cause death, insanity, and imprisonment. It ain't the OP. that  dug that hole. Some psycho cult leaders by the names of Mel and Betty Sembler, and Art Bunker dug a 100 foot ditch and pushed a bunch of children in. They deliberately induced Brain damage  in children to in order to emotionally, sexually, and most of all, financially exploit them.

Evil child torturer, people can't "choose" to recover from brain damage just like they can't "choose" to recover from cancer, so stop blaming the victim and stop with the “crawl out of the hole you dugâ€

I think disability is for people who are unable to work. If your ordeal has left you unable to work then I'd not feel ashamed of going on disability. I'd rather know my tax money is going to help someone get by in life than on 4000 dollar toilet seats anyway.

When I was a boy scout rifle instructor I had the chance to meet a vetran of Vietname. He was considered fully disabled due to a high velocity round to the throat. Yet even on disability he still did his best to stay active. That summer he went on to teach archery classes at a boy scout camp. Last I heard he pulled off an award winning program at the camp. This was in competition with at least 10 other program areas of various scouting merit badge courses that had 2 to 3 people working in each one and he was on his own.

Kind of warms my heart to know that the tough old coot outdid a bunch of young turds and gained the acknowledgement he deserved for from the scout masters and the patrol leaders who consistently voted his program area the best each week in their evaluations.

I guess what I'm saying is work shouldn't be the measure of who you are as a person. What I measure myself by is not my job, but how I impact others around me.

If disability is what you need to survive then by all means persue it. Just don't feel that being disabled defines who you are as a person. Let the other parts of your life tell the story of who you are and what you are about.

Christ I'm getting all wierd. Look dude.. Don't be to proud that you end up starving.

There are free ones. What's so wrong about wanting someone to spell simple words like "torture" correctly? It borders on REAL torture to have to read it spelled "tourcher" in your posts! I mean, come on! When is the last time you've picked up a book or a newspaper? I'd be EMBARRASSED if I were you! And "leberating"?? SHEESH... What grade of school did you finish? I'm no college grad, but I could spell much better than you can when I was in 5th grade or lower.

While I must admit that the spelling and grammatical errors forced upon us as readers of this site borders on torture in & of itself, that truly gives us no call to pick on the less fortunate who have had say, a pACE education or worse.  Let's give 'em a break, shall we?

Just a tip, I often consult www.dictionary.com (http://www.dictionary.com) when looking for the correct spelling of a word, and that too is free.

I was commenting on how "tortured" you must be in your personal life to be so unnecessarily rude to someone. Not much going on there, eh? Gotta do what you can to feel accomplished? Never graduating college gave you an academic insecurity complex, huh?

You also make presumptions about the identify of anon. posters that are illogical. I’m not the original op. as you presumed

I never graduated the second grade, and was substituted for a pulley system to irrigate our neighborhood’s soy bean fields, but I could reason better than you when I was 2 months. Oh, how intellectually valid I am, even though I never graduated college.

You are full of shit.

Excellent continuation of your advocacy for an improved level of Fornits literacy, Chekhov.

You trolls; when you can’t derail a thread by shaming people for their psychological trauma, you move on to spelling. Then, it’s a glue sniffing 12 year old impersonation. You excell at that, if nothing else in your life. Ignore this troll

No, of course it doesn't. But it makes the intelligent person look like an idiot to people that don't know them, regardless of their IQ. People who can't even spell the word "torture" correctly are an embarrassment to this site, no matter how intelligent they may be. Now kindly fuck off and quit trolling this forum.

these acts of abuse could be classified as a life felony

and warrent a sentence of life imprisonment upon conviction

FLA code - section 775.15(1)(a)

capital of life felony may be commenced at ANY TIME

contact the State's Attorney's Office where the acts/abuse occured

discuss matters of prosecution with that office

and the victims/witness coordinator

also retain a private local attorney to explore your options of prosecution

and at the very least a civil lawsuit

did you know that individuals who have been raped, have a hard time saying the word, thinking the word rape, and for sure 'writing' the word rape is very tough. though it's a simple 4 letter word and easy to spell.
perhaps the poor speller has a problem like that. but really, who cares.

knowing that the crimes commited are classified as a life felony and there is no time limit on which to file a lawsuit is interesting news. but rather than have comments on that bit of info, spelling became the topic. very interesting. so by the way, has anyone posting or reading taken steps towards a lawsuit. i know many children have with some receiving millions.

are there any lawyers or paralegals or good spellers that could say more about what the process. i guess i'm just afraid to call anybody and try to explain what happened to me. cuz yes, i would like some vindication and truth about the whole messy thing.

the hard part is always feeling like the criminal when i never was a criminal, and the criminals get away with feeling like their innocent. and yes, that would great to have the truth of the whole matter set down in a legal fashion and putting the blame on the perps.

later.

No one, except for idiots, is troubled by grammar and punctuation. Some don't have intelligence, so make a show of being scandalized by petty faux pas to feel secure. Don't worry
