Title: fornits for sale
Post by: Anonymous on November 12, 2007, 01:00:00 PM
If you can't find a new server and want to sell fornits, I submit an offer of$1500 cash and a server to call it's home, and no change to policy.

That would be an insult....

My rule of thumb for web sites is 6 times the gross proceeds (if the buyer feels he can effect growth thru assimilation into a larger site).  So if fornits brings in 30K a year (for example) then the offer should be somewhere around $180,000.  A site which is in a highly volatile market or unstable the site can be worth as low as a years proceeds or 30K.  But fornits is attached to a growing industry with a few controversial governemnt investigations, in process, which should spark further interest , visability and attract more viewers.

So is this an example of a thread 'being derailed'?

Yes, they are trying to get the topic switched to talking about TheWho and then if TheWho responds he can be blamed for derailing the thread or flooding, if he posts too much.
