Desisto dad writing about his son's suicide.
A famous author wrote about how essentially his son was driven to suicide by mike desisto. The fellow doesn’t know the half of it.
Anyone know this kid, or the situation surrounding it?

So, he's calling desisto remarkable?

From wikipedia about DeSisto school: (http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DeSisto_School)
Author Roger Kahn, in the last chapter of his book Into My Own (2006), describes the negative experiences he had with Michael DeSisto, and the school's family therapy workshops he attended in 1979 with his son, who committed suicide in 1987.
If you want to create a webpage so parents would read them, you have to give them a teaser, so they will read the full horror BEFORE they ship their son or daugther away.
What happened at the DeSisto schools was nothing more or less than what takes places every day somewhere in the States.

Thanks,
Not surprisingly, a program-parent only gives his son one chapter on a book about remarkable people, and doesn't speak too poorly of Desisto except for the fact that he should of done more for the kid.
I'm sorry. He's a fuckin’ journalist. He should have been at least Curious AFTER the suicide about what went at desisto, and done the research to find out. He should have had that much respect for his son.
Less importantly, he would have saved me the horror of being shipped off nearly 20 years later to the same gang of outrages
