Title: Take my kid out?
Post by: Anonymous on October 10, 2007, 03:53:15 PM
My kid is in PFC in Detroit.  I want to take her out but mother doesnt want to - should I push it.  What do I need to know?  What is really going on in there?  Is this place F ed up?  Is my kid in danger?  What should I do?

If it's your kid take her out...

PFC is Straight inc, which is considered the most abusive program in American history.

First of all you should seek your child and get to talk to her away from the staff. As long any staff member is present, you will never know how she is.

Next you should learn where the methods, they use, came from. They came from a program, your government has shut down:

Among the root of the program you find:
Quote
SYNANON CHURCH, founded 1970 by Chuch Dederich
The method of using addicts to aid in their own recovery by shouting indictments at one another was invented by Chuch Dederich in 1958 at Synanon, a church in California. Dederich called the method "synanons."

THE SEED CHAIN, founded June 1970, by Art Barker
The Seed was one of the first Synanons for kids only. It was founded by Art Barker in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. in 1970. MEL SEMBLER established The Seed, in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Seed closed in 1974, when the U.S. Senate likened its methods to North Korean brainwashing.

It does not sound healthy. Synanon was shut down by the IRS and SEED by the government after a senate hearing.

But the most important step for you is to get to talk to her privately. That is going to be a struggle. Fight for her.

Ask her if she was strip searched by fellow program staff/clients. If so, press some charges NOW!

I want her out of there what are the steps I should take?  Yes, talk to her one on one but via the law, police, etc.?

I want to drive there and grab her but her mother is committed to the program.  I just dont know what to do?

You say, "my kid". Do you have any type of custody? If the mom has physical custody, there may not be a whole lot you can do without the help of a lawyer. If you share custody, then go ask to speak to your child. If they refuse, call the cops. If they let you talk to your child, ask her about the strip search.

It is a crime for unqualified adults to supervise, direct, order, etc... minors to strip search minors, and anyone who is not carrying a search warrant or has a paper signed by a judge ordering the search, should be charged with an illegal strip search(es) ASAP. Either way, according to recent former clients of this program, the first thing that happens to kids when they are put in the program is for the peer staff and/or the new client's oldcomer to strip search them. The verbal, psychological, physical etc... abuse soon follows...

All of the above abuses apply here.

How about this: If the program does not let you have unmonitored communication or contact with your child  this is a red flag for a breeding ground of abuses to occur.

Pull your child out!
