How would him getting to Canada help him out? He is under the age of 18...
The Canadian government would more than likely toss him right back over the border, or would they? Be interesting to find out what they would do.

Canada or juvenille hall? I'm going to hope this kid has somewhere better to go than that, like say his friends house back home and return to his normal life. Most kids who run successfully get pulled anyways for some reason.

There is always the risk of being banished to TB (http://http://fornits.com/wiki/index.php/Tranquility_Bay). Just thinking of a 14 year old or any other teenager being detained at TB makes me sick.
It comes down to whether Rebecca Perry - the mother - is programmed or not. If she had been through the first parent seminar there is a good chance that they have washed the last brick of sense out of her brain.
What happened to the boys who managed to escape AIR (http://http://fornits.com/wiki/index.php/Academy_at_Ivy_Ridge)? I know that they ended up in jail for a start, but did they manage to rejoin humanity or was their their lives destroyed by being sent to TB regardless of the fact that AIR claims that they are no longer a part of WWASP?

The article says four kids got away.I wonder if Gulf Coast is having over crowding or staff problems, they normally have better control than that and keep watch on all the kids at all times. Maybe they were upper levels or something. You never get the whole story out of these cases, which is unfortunate. Unless the survivor posts about it when they find this a year from now or something.

I doubt they are upper level kids. They are probably Tranquility Bay transplants tho. Remember - this (Gulf Coast Academy; aka Eagle Point; aka Bethel boys home) is where Jay Kay said they were moving the TB kids to, in that letter everyone got so excited about.
If they do get sent back to Tranquility Bay, it will probably be to a situation more like High Impact. I have thought that this was most likely what the change was about - using TB as a High Impact kind of facility.
If I'm right, then any kid sent there is in for some horribly brutal treatment.
I hope these kids manage to get into a court system that will protect their rights as US citizens and demand they remain in the states; and in the care of professionals with an education and credentials; in other words, not any program.

Better yet would be that these kids get to a radio, tv, or newspaper and tell their side of the story.

Are they running out of money? Security seems to be very relaxed.
