Title: Public sector coercion/collusion in the TPI
Post by: Antigen on September 08, 2007, 12:37:58 PM
More and more, I'm reading stories from parents about various kinds of public sector threats and coercion as a significant factor in their decisions to seek alternative placements and quack therapies for their kids. Additionally, the industry has pretty much always relied heavily on drug war and/or big pharma propaganda to scare the living shit out of a couple of generations of parents and professionals who deal with kids.
"over half of school aged kids are abnormal, drug the fuck out of them. If they prefer unauthorized drugs or prefer no drugs at all to our plans for them, ship them off to be broken of their disorder or we'll arrest and convict or dx them and do it ourselves." is essentially the message I get from both the drug warriors and paediatric pshrinks.
This should not come as any big surprise to anybody who has been subject to being "helped" by these people and who has taken the time to even lightly investigate how much and how shrewdly industry cronies have invested in public policy and what's left of our much vaunted "liberty and justice to the highest bidder" democratic process.
What did you think would happen, kiddies, with Mel Sembler and Robert Lichfiled going around openly buying and trading politicians?
Let's hear some of the first hand results of having Parent Group effectively running the country.

I just posted over in the Straight forum about this. http://wwf.fornits.com/viewtopic.php?t=22939&start=110 (http://wwf.fornits.com/viewtopic.php?t=22939&start=110)
The early EAP programs of some of the bigger employers in St. Pete were fertile grounds. I'm just starting to try and get some of this info out of my father. It's a slow process.

State programs aren't anything new as yall prolly know I worked for one for a spell. Kids being sent to private pay programs isn't anything new either.
I'm curious as to how many of them are sent on the state's nickle. Given that the school district must provide funding for some kids who can't be handled in the regular school district.
I also saw more than one kid sent to both eckerds and three springs under a foster home placement.

Even private programs are heavily influenced by public programs such as anti-drug ads that make parents freak out, that is all public ideas and money that influence them to place in private program I thikn they are very much related, yep, very much so ::nod:: .
