From the comments page
Sue Scheff has been criticized for claiming to advocate against institutionalized child abuse while still using her organization PURE to refer parents to abusive "troubled teen" programs such as the Whitmore Academy, whose owners have been banned for life from operating a youth program in Juab County, and Focal Point Academy, with whom she now finds her self a co-defendant with in a suit alleging... fraud among other things. Ironically Sue Scheff was sued by The World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools for the same thing she later sued a Parent for. She won the suit against the parent, a Katrina victim, because the Parent was unable to attend the trial... She won by default not evidence. Her use of RD seems to be more about silencing critics then defending her self against libel. Most of the criticisms against her have documented proof to back them up, so how can she claim defense against defamation or libel. I hope that parent gets a chance to defend herself in court, RD can't silence court transcripts. ABC keep an eye on this story

So, might that be why i-caught claimed not to know Sue, because they were actually dealing with Fertik at RD instead? In other words, the piece was to be about RD and Sue was a sideline, not the primary focus?

It airs on the 14th

Yeah. Reputation Defender apparently spammed ABC news before

Actually, the more publicity RD gets vis a vis Sue Scheff the better chance folks are likely to DIG for the not-so-positive press about Scheff now that they know IT EXISTS ....

So far, all the known clients of Reputation Defender still have true, publically available information available on the internet. Moreover, all of them have been mentioned in public ways, despite being unknown before. So far, it seems that Reputation Defender sucks at their job, because simple Google searches would lead people to factual information about their clients that people have refused to remove because (duh) it's factual and Reputation Defender has only helped make these issues more of a public record.
Yup - it would appear these reputation-clean-up firms are a double-edged sword, IMO.

ABC has a discussion board - perhaps there will be a live chat or discussion on Reputation Defender and Sue Scheff? If so, might be interesting to see what RD thinks about the lawsuit recently filed against one of their most high-profile clients?
