Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?
Post by: Sandy on July 24, 2007, 01:05:09 AM
Why do you release personal info about others? Do you NOT know the MEANING of "confidentiality"?

Why do you take credit for things you have not done?

Why do you attack parents/kids that have already been hurt and defend those who are responsible?

Why do you refer (or point in their direction, whatever you want to call it) to people/places that will further cause harm?

Why do you contact people that you previously were against and release other people's private info to them?  Who the hell gave you that right?

How do you live with yourself?

I could go on and on but I won't, unless you answer some of these....

And then to get on Fornits and post as Guest and several other names, that's just a total disgrace and shows that you, yourself, know that you are not creditable, on your own account.

These are good questions, which Izzy probably will not answer.

Why does Izzy copy and use other's work?

It appears obvious that Izzy's In Memory of the Children was taken/copied from Barbe Stamp's "HOLY THE CHILDREN" on her true advocacy website Teen Advocates U.S.A.

It appears obvious that Izzy's Watchlist is taken/copied from Shelby Earnshaw's ISAC Watchlist.

Some have asked , "hasn't Isabelle ever had an orignial thought of her own?"

The Whitmore Academy blogs are a supreme example of Izzy attacking parents and their children; while she defends those responsible for their misery and victimization.  Especially when the owner accepted a plea bargain in the criminal case against her.

People have fallen victim to Izzy's lack of confidentiality; and she claims too have a background in the legal field and calls herself a "journalist," two fields that require confidentiality.

Izzy has the right to refer children to programs; but she needs to be honest about her "work" and not post a disclaimer that states she DOES NOT REFER CHILDREN TO PROGRAMS.  That is dishonest, and misleading.

No person should make claims about their qualifications, education, or credentials that are not valid or truthful.  This is just wrong. and can gain a level of trust that is not warranted.

Why?
Who knows?

One of these fine days - the identity of the CAICA Board of Directors may be revealed, if there is one, because I have a feeling Isabelle Zehnder can not continue to side-step (avoid) answering the questions posed to her about the lack of transparency surrounding CAICA.

Why the secrecy?

What is the purpose of her Board of Directors?

Why did a member of the BoD post on Fornits in support of Zehnder but fail to disclose their identity?   Why wear a guest tag if their purpose in posting was to address issues pursuant to the organization they are associated with as a Board Member?

How can Isabelle call herself PRESIDENT of an organization that claims to have a Board of Directors, but does not disclose their identity nor their qualifications to sit on this board?

Also, check out this website:

http://www.therosemooreshow.com (http://www.therosemooreshow.com)

How many ways does Isabelle Zehnder use this website to promote her two alter-egos CAICA and POSITIVE FAMILY SOLUTIONS?

Comments anyone?

The poster "Not Buying It" claimed to be a CAICA Board Member in one post directed to Sandy.
But one of the parents that Izzy recruited to post for her, says that Izzy is actually the poster, "Not Buying It."
So, who knows?

I'm pretty sure that Rose Moore knows about the website.  Isabelle has been on her radio show twice that I know of.  According to Isabelle, Rose wanted her to go into business with her.  In a sort of "referral" thing with Isabelle's coaching business.  Rose wanted a cut on anyone she referred to her.  Isabelle claimed she didn't want to do this because the additional fee was going to be tacked on up front and the people would not be aware of it.  Why would she have a problem with disclosure when she doesn't do it herself?

Guess I'd better specify the above was told to me in a phone call by Isabelle and I have nothing in writing to that effect so it's just hearsay and my opinion........  ::bigsmilebounce::

She told the same thing to me.  Does the figure 3500 sound right?
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?
Post by: Sandy on July 24, 2007, 04:17:06 PM
It was either $3,500 or $2,500.  I remember that Isabelle couldn't subtract correctly and I corrected her and told her that Rose would be getting $700 off the top on a referral.  I thought it sounded like a scam.
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?

Sheesh!  What is wrong with people in this industry?  Haven't they ever heard of professionalism?  A Board of Directors that can't be revealed to the public?  WHY?  That is the $64,000 question IMO.
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?
Post by: Anonymous on July 24, 2007, 04:22:44 PM
For Izzy's "coaching fees" She quoted:
$2,500 for 3 months.
One hour per week by phone with the parent.
One hour per week by phone with the child.

12 weeks X 2 hours per week = 24 hours of "coaching"

$2,500 divided by 24 hours = $104.l7 per hour.

That's a LOT OF MONEY for "coaching by phone" IMO

A family could hire a licensed professional theapist for this amount of money.  Why would a family choose "telephone coaching?"
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?
Post by: Sandy on July 24, 2007, 04:35:06 PM
So, if Isabelle is quoting the $2,500 fee, does that mean that Rose Moore is getting the $700 referral fee for doing nothing but providing a phone number?  Wonder if Rose's radio listeners know about this.......
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?
Post by: Anonymous on July 24, 2007, 04:51:29 PM
How many out there have ever talked with Izzy on the phone?
That woman can not shut up!  Any parents/kids being "coached" will probably be paying to hear Izzy run her mouth; because they probably won't get a chance to talk themselves.
Wasn't it buzzkill who reported about Izzy running up a survivor's cell phone bill into the hundreds of dollars, and then Izzy refused to pay the bill?

Isabelle claimed that was the case and told me it was unethical and she refused.  Dunno what she told you.  I was taking notes.  She did mention 700$ off the top.

Isabelle had promised my family, and me, several times that she would never disclose info/names about my family.  I specifically asked her last month if she had ever put anything on her websites about us and she said no.  Then she turns right around and does so with the emails plus the fact that she was running her mouth about us to other people.  That is SO unprofessional.  Seems like there should be some kind of ethics that she would have to adhere to in order to do business.

Izzy claims she is a member of the International Coaches Federation:
ICF's Code of Ethics

The ICF CODE OF ETHICS
Part One: The ICF Philosophy of Coaching

The International Coach Federation adheres to a form of coaching that honors the client as the expert in his/her life and work and believes that every client is creative, resourceful, and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:

Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
Encourage client self-discovery
Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
Hold the client responsible and accountable
Part Two: The ICF Definition of Coaching

Professional Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.

In each meeting, the client chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions. This interaction creates clarity and moves the client into action. Coaching accelerates the client's progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice. Coaching concentrates on where clients are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future. ICF member coaches and ICF credentialed coaches recognize that results are a matter of the client's intentions, choices and actions, supported by the coach's efforts and application of the coaching process

Part Three: The ICF Standards of Ethical Conduct

Professional Conduct At Large

As a coach:

1) I will conduct myself in a manner that reflects positively upon the coaching profession and I will refrain from engaging in conduct or making statements that may negatively impact the public's understanding or acceptance of coaching as a profession.

2) I will not knowingly make any public statements that are untrue or misleading, or make false claims in any written documents relating to the coaching profession.

3) I will respect different approaches to coaching. I will honor the efforts and contributions of others and not misrepresent them as my own.

4) I will be aware of any issues that may potentially lead to the misuse of my influence by recognizing the nature of coaching and the way in which it may affect the lives of others.

5) I will at all times strive to recognize personal issues that may impair, conflict or interfere with my coaching performance or my professional relationships. Whenever the facts and circumstances necessitate, I will promptly seek professional assistance and determine the action to be taken, including whether it is appropriate to suspend or terminate my coaching relationship(s).

6) As a trainer or supervisor of current and potential coaches, I will conduct myself in accordance with the ICF Code of Ethics in all training and supervisory situations.

7) I will conduct and report research with competence, honesty and within recognized scientific standards. My research will be carried out with the necessary approval or consent from those involved, and with an approach that will reasonably protect participants from any potential harm. All research efforts will be performed in a manner that complies with the laws of the country in which the research is conducted.

8) I will accurately create, maintain, store and dispose of any records of work done in relation to the practice of coaching in a way that promotes confidentiality and complies with any applicable laws.

9) I will use ICF member contact information (email addresses, telephone numbers, etc.) only in the manner and to the extent authorized by the ICF.

Professional Conduct With Clients

10) I will be responsible for setting clear, appropriate, and culturally sensitive boundaries that govern any physical contact that I may have with my clients.

11) I will not become sexually involved with any of my clients.

12) I will construct clear agreements with my clients, and will honor all agreements made in the context of professional coaching relationships.

13) I will ensure that, prior to or at the initial session, my coaching client understands the nature of coaching, the bounds of confidentiality, financial arrangements and other terms of the coaching agreement.

14) I will accurately identify my qualifications, expertise and experience as a coach.

15) I will not intentionally mislead or make false claims about what my client will receive from the coaching process or from me as their coach.

16) I will not give my clients or prospective clients information or advice I know or believe to be misleading.

17) I will not knowingly exploit any aspect of the coach-client relationship for my personal, professional or monetary advantage or benefit.

18) I will respect the client's right to terminate coaching at any point during the process. I will be alert to indications that the client is no longer benefiting from our coaching relationship.

19) If I believe the client would be better served by another coach, or by another resource, I will encourage the client to make a change.

20) I will suggest that my clients seek the services of other professionals when deemed appropriate or necessary.

21) I will take all reasonable steps to notify the appropriate authorities in the event a client discloses an intention to endanger self or others.

Confidentiality/Privacy

22) I will respect the confidentiality of my client's information, except as otherwise authorized by my client, or as required by law.

23) I will obtain agreement from my clients before releasing their names as clients or references, or any other client identifying information.

24) I will obtain agreement from the person being coached before releasing information to another person compensating me.

Conflicts of Interest

25) I will seek to avoid conflicts between my interests and the interests of my clients.

26) Whenever any actual conflict of interest or the potential for a conflict of interest arises, I will openly disclose it and fully discuss with my client how to deal with it in whatever way best serves my client.

27) I will disclose to my client all anticipated compensation from third parties that I may receive for referrals of that client.

28) I will only barter for services, goods or other non-monetary remuneration when it will not impair the coaching relationship.

Part Four: The ICF Pledge of Ethics

As a professional coach, I acknowledge and agree to honor my ethical obligations to my coaching clients and colleagues and to the public at large. I pledge to comply with the ICF Code of Ethics, to treat people with dignity as independent and equal human beings, and to model these standards with those whom I coach. If I breach this Pledge of Ethics or any part of the ICF Code of Ethics, I agree that the ICF in its sole discretion may hold me accountable for so doing. I further agree that my accountability to the ICF for any breach may include loss of my ICF membership and/or my ICF credentials.

If Izzy's that pathetic, can you imagine the type of person that would hire her as a life coach?  I mean these aren't our best and brightest as it is.  Have you ever seen some of those losers on E! or something that hire life coaches?  Oh my god, I can't believe people fall for that shit.

So basically, all anyone has to do is promise to abide by that "code" and BAM! You're a life coach?

I fear for the future.

Oh, and a check.  I'm sure there's a check involved somewhere.

Wonder if the past owners of the defunct Whitmore Academy are paying Izzy for coaching services before they might decide to open up a new facility?
Maybe Izzy could help Cheryl Sudweeks to understand that spitting in kids faces, sucker-punching kids, and cursing kids is just not acceptable behavior.

This is apparently the Ethical guide for coaching.
This is part of the little do dads Izzy has at the bottom of her coaching page,
International coach federation member
NWCA
which goes to this organization.
Have fun!

She isn't a member of jack shit.  You can look up credentials on any of those sites... plus... she admitted to me "everything I know I taught myself".  Kinda like the "real world experience" I used to hear about in program.
 ::puke::
edit: hmm.  It seems like she is listed in the NWCA odd that she would leave that out of our conversation.

Calm down folks, seems if you are looking for a "credentialed" coach, Izzy AIN'T LISTED.

Does this mean she doesn't possess any of the three credentials listed?

Probably, if the search comes back TRY AGAIN.

PCC, MCC or ACC

I don't see Isabelle Zehnder as possessing of the three credentials listed.

Of course, that doesn't mean one can't be a good coach but with I don't see how having a credential is a negative.

From the postings about Izzy, it does appear she has, and will have, some probles with this code of ethics unless she does some hurge turn around.
Izzy does seem to have problems with accurately identifying her qualifications, expertiese and credentials.  The confidentiality issues seem to present  big problems for her, too: releasing names without permission, avoiding conflicts of interest, seeming to have problems with truth-telling.
As stated before, she will probably do just fine with #11; "I will not become sexually involved with any of my clients."

I hope Rose Moore isn't offended, but now that I see this budding partnership between herself and Isabelle, I won't be listening to her show anymore nor suggesting it as a resource for parents with special needs kids.  There are MANY other resources available to these parents that DO NOT have a relationship with CAICA at all (that I am aware of) so I feel very confident I am not hurting anyone by this decision. I just couldn't in good conscious recommend Rose Moore given her relationship to someone I consider to have very questionable ethics.  If things change, then I would certainly reconsider.

Izzy claims she gets 10,000 hits a day on CAICA, so she probably doesn't need those radio referrals anyway. :o   :o  :o  :o

Izzy read The Secret, and so did Sue, if I am not mistaken.

What's this book about?
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?
Post by: Anonymous on July 24, 2007, 07:38:03 PM
While I believe much of what was said on The Secret, I believe some people will take it to extremes. Already, I met a couple of women in a restaurant. Both were quite overweight, both were eating large, unhealthy breakfasts. We began discussing The Secret (these were strangers, we happened to have to sit at the same table). They said they were both going to be thin simply by thinking they will be. The law of attraction, they said.

While I believe strongly in the power of positive thinking, I also believe in order for us to get the things we want we need to use logic and do the things necessary to get there.

-----

How pathetic is this?  Yes, Izzy, it's real "logical" to claim Caica isn't for referral to programs -- err ... except when necessary ... and then help send kids to unregulated programs who pay FINDER'S FEES to your pal, Sue Scheff.

Second, what kind of restaurant seats strangers together?

Fast food maybe?  Cafeteria-style?  Buffet?

Positive thinking is one thing - MAGICAL thinking is another.

I would not want to be forced into coaching sessions with Isabelle Zehnder anymore than I would one of Gilgrease's infamous TASKS seminars.

What is wrong with parents nowadays?  If they aren't drugging their kids into submission or compliance, they are forcing them into programs or hiring life-skills coaches.

Also, it seems Isabelle has had many "careers" in her lifetime.  Not sure what to make of the lack of professional testimonials but I suppose if your neighbors can attest to you as never telling a lie or being an all-around good "egg", that's something.
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?
Post by: Anonymous on July 24, 2007, 08:15:23 PM
Anybody ever asked a neighbor to give a written testimonial to be published on your work website that you "don't lie?" That's a queer thing to do, IMO.
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?
Post by: Sandy on July 24, 2007, 08:27:15 PM
Hmmm.... the question I have is: Do these neighbors KNOW that they are on her website?

And what's the deal with all the anonymous testimonials?
Those are totally worthless.

IMO, anything that doesn't have an actual name AND permission to use it behind it, is fraudulent.

A lot of these "testimonials" seems to be responses to something Izzy sent to them.

Yes, I do remember our conversation a few years ago.  I took a quick look at your web site and read the abstract for your speech this morning.  You're doing great!

Your research, thoughts, and ideas about the boarding school industry are very accurate.

Clearly, you all put in a lot of effort to monitor various organizations/schools - which is something that most people do not have the resources to do.  So, your organization provides a needed service.

It's good to hear from you. I am doing well. I am dancing and teaching a lot. I love it here in California. Life has been fun lately and I have been starting to get my life together. I am happy. I am in the process of getting my transcripts so I can finish up high school. That will be good to get done. [Formerly a victim of a tough-love program].

Hypocrite.  Posting as a guest... rofl.

No doubt she doesn't list the BoD publicly because you harpies would rip them to shreds they way you do to her.

Guest isn't attempting to pass themselves off as some sort of advocate or professional.  Izzy is.  If she's going to state publicly that she has a board of directors, wouldn't it stand to reason she'd mention them?

Don't we have any legal eagles in the house (besides Izzy I mean    ) who can fill us in on any public records info for not-for-profit corporations?
Title: IZZY: Questions...WHY?

CORPORATIONS

"The corporation not for profit, which are organized for the purpose other than monetary gain.  These types of corporations are normally for religious, social, educational or charitable purposes.  And the designation as a non-profit corporation bestows a preferred tax except status under the Internal Revenue Code.

In California, the name of the Corporation must be reserved with the State Department.  It is the Secretary of State Divison of Corporations.

Then there are the Articles of Corporation

There is also a Certification of Authority to Issue Stock.  Some at value, some not.  This is secured with the State Securities Department.

All pertinent partners and directors must then sign the documents and then file them with the appropriate State Department of that state.

(there are state statutes regarding this for each state)

Prepare documents advising of the 1st meeting, date, time, etc. and what topic of discussion.  Prepare notice of same, and this is generally where the Board of Directors are elected.

The the stock certificatesx for the outstanding issue of stock should be prepared.

Note:  In some states the Aritcles of Incorporation must be created from scratch.  Those documents must have the name and address of the original incorporater, names and address of the directtors, the number of shares of stock issued and delivered, if any, designation of a resident agent, the principal office of the corporation, the fiscal year of incorporation, date for the annual stockholders meeting, initial capital of the corporation, the authorized capital stock, including a breakdown of a number of shares of common and preferred stock; and (j) the number of shares which are either par-value or non-par-value."

So check with the Secretary of State.  I think you can even check online.  This is public record people.

Doesn't matter.... ANYONE can get a "corporation" name, etc... ALL it takes is money.  And that's pretty cheap to do.   It does NOT take any creditials.  All it takes is for anyone else not to have the same name.

Something to ponder:

I think a little birdie should whisper into Father IRS's ear.

She controls her site.  Which means she can control just how much money the public see's she's received.  Hence, why it only shows around 100.00 donated?  Maybe.  Would you tell everyone and their mother if you weren't tax exempt just exactly how much you've really received?  Not.

Maybe she doesn't qualify for that status?

How bout' it Izzy?  What's up with that?
