Recommendations:
1. Implement/continue with quality assurance processes that include all significant areas of facility operations.
2. Consider the addition of at least a few, term-limited Board members.
3. Re-title the terms “hard work” and “strip search.” They invoke images of pointless “hard labor” and body
cavity searches that in neither case are accurate, but are likely to elicit negative reactions among those who do not
understand what is, or is not, entailed. An entry into policies/procedures as to what “hard work” does include
(extra chores, writing papers) would be helpful. “Strip searches” are better explained, but it would also be
prudent to add to the policy/procedure that a second staff member is always present as a witness.
4. Update policies/procedures to include a description of restraint review processes, especially those regarding
treatment plan modifications when there is a high frequency of restraints.

What kind of ridiculous shit is this, in other words, you can do this stuff, but just call it by another name.
That is the problem with these programs, they disguse everything with language, so to make it look like it is all good. :flame:

The answer is Yes. This is what Child Welfare recommended to make the program look like a "kinder, gentler", program for kids. Aren't they just "special"?
