Steve was a friend of mine.  We weren't allowed to talk to each other while we were in the program but he still managed to communicate by his example and I feel blessed to have known him.  He was a teacher to me, when I needed one.  He armed me when I was vulnerable.  He was compassionate when I was surrounded by hostility and indifference.  I carry him with me.  

Much respect.
