Title: Search Function
Post by: Deborah on June 15, 2007, 03:55:47 PM: The search function is so lame I'm wondering if someone can tell me how to search a site with google. Someone posted this before but I can't remember. It was something like Fornit:'search term(s)'. I seem to recall the 'site' was in there somewhere too, but not sure where. Fornits site: ???
Also, is that any better? Like, can I search for two terms without getting every post with either of the words or part of the words in it?

amen. there is an abundance of useful information archived here, but hard to find.

Thanks, but I always do that. One of the problems is that say you want to search for "lone star". You get every post that contains lone or star. It's sometimes too much to wade through to find the post you're looking for.

Thanks. I tried a few and it did make a difference. I thought I had tried that already, but apparently not.

1 problem is if there's a post like "stuff you've been listening to" that's long and you search for a word in that thread... from what i can tell you will know if the word is there but no fuckin clue which post... unless im missin somethin... this is fixable though just a matter of when and if and when and blah :o blah :o blah.
