Posting anonymously allows words to speak for themsleves, to allow an argument to fight with it's own merit.
Egotistical people, tend to think it's their personality behind their words that make them believable.
No ego is necessary in this argument, the truth speaks for itself.
When ego battles ego, the original argument is lost, and it becomes a new argument over personalities.
When you don't know who you are talking to, it's easier to stay out of that ego vs. ego trap.
Which is why...
it is the biggest egos around who don't like Guests.
They tend to look at the ego first, words second...
shift it around and Fornits might make some sense to ya.

Very well said, and I fully agree...
I'm a registered user, but prefer posting anon sometimes (despite the captcha hassle) for this very reason.
However, it's worth suggesting that anons consider IDing themselves (by signing posts "anon1" or something) at times for the sake of clarity within a given thread.
