Title: More Staff Gone?
Post by: Anonymous on May 03, 2007, 02:58:10 PM: The staff listing on HLA's web site no longer lists Isis Ruff, Laura Inman, Betty Greene, Ed Clark, and Gerry Mattox to name a few.... And guess what? No nurse listed either!

Joy Kidd has worked dispensing medications for a long time, and yet she is not listed as staff. If they had an RN on staff, you would think they would list it since that was part of the lawsuit saying that HLA did not have a registered nurse employed. I don't get it.

While the regs state that the program must have sufficient numbers of qualified and trained staff in order to provide for the kids care and well being, there is no specific requirement for a nurse.
Any "properly trained" child care worker can administer meds. I guess they assume a person trained in CPR/First Aid is adequate for handling minor emergencies and assessing medical conditions which might require treatment.
I think this is an oversight given their location and student profile, as well as the participation in dangerous activities.

Terrie Poiles' name has been removed from the staff listing.... glad to see they're reading Fornits!

Well, she did like take care of me when I was throwing up/faking illness to get off restrictions. She was a nice enough person. Then the other "Nurse", I can't even remember her name, was fired for taking kids meds. It just figures what is in Dahlonega: Rednecks, Druggies, and and Shitheads. And college students, a fuckload of college students...
