Does anyone know if HLA conducts (or conducted) background checks on their employees?

They have to conduct background checks on all employees in accordance to federal law.

It may be a federal law, but have they complied with that law by performing background checks?

And whose relative do you think they farmed that task out to? I'm sure fees were charged and a document is in each file. However, do you really think a "real" check was completed? I know they were doing the checks for employees back in '99. Can't vouch for more recent times.

They definitely DID NOT do background checks in 94,95,96.  Can't say what happened after....

while i was there they did them.....although when i first got there in 01' there were some screwey staff...like some really hick nightstaff that were always wired on meth. there was also some peado while i was there...forgot his name...he was an AC who was really really tall and big with a beard, cant prove it but i can swear he was trying to hit on me a few times. then there was that guy with Fetal alchohol syndrome.....how could someone with fas be hired for hla???
