Title: CEDU paperwork.
Post by: try another castle on January 01, 2007, 04:28:12 PM
This might have differed depending on when you went there.

RMA '87: On intake, they gave me some sort of contract or paperwork to sign.

Does anyone remember what this was, exactly? Was it consent to treat? Something like that?

Anyway, I never signed it. Refused to even look at it. I was always curious as to what the fuck it was.

I don't remember signing anything like that.
I also don't see how it could even be viewed as admissimble evidence.

I might have signed something right before the summit started promising I wouldn't talk about it ever with people who haven't been through it.

Well, I wasn't planning on using it as evidence for anything. Just curious as to what it could be.

The first day I got there, Sydney (someone from admin) sits down with my parents and me, and asks me to sign something, and I said no. She said "Ok, you can always sign it later." and I never saw the thing again.

I can't remember if we signed anything for the summit.

Hey Castle ... I admit that my memory is faded, but I don't remember ever being asked to sign anything. And then when I "checked kids in" as an older student, I don't remember anything then either. Again, there may have been something, but I don't recall signing it or it ever being brought up. I don't remember anyone ever referring to a contract of agreement.

As you know, my peer group recently got together - someone there actually brought the original admissions packet from the early 80s. I was amazed at what I read. THe charges that weren't included in the tuition, even just the basic "contract". It was wild.

No, actually, I didn't know that. Hope it went well.

The students who checked me in weren't present during the paperwork part.

I know it happened, though. I remember it clear as day. Weird.

How did your friend manage to snag one of those admissions packets? Interesting.

A minor cannot engage in a legal contract. It's as simple as that.

You said your parent's insurance paid for most of your tuition. It was probably one of many irritating signatures requred for insurance  purposes.

If they truly needed my signature to grant coverage, then they never would have gotten it, because I never signed.

you've followed the paper trail ($) and still haven't been able to read between the lines?????

grant coverae??? they got your signature for double secret probation.. just in case everything went to shit and a worst case scenario happened they had your signature. the document you signed wasn't the main page. it wasn't the decleration of independence.

think about it. everything is profit driven. if you were an insurance company (my life is paperwork and legaleses) and you were  going to fuck someone over wouldn't you draft up a 10 page document of horseshit and make your prisoner sign every page? or at least the pages you wanted them to sign?

They didn't want your johh hancock cuz your special- your signature wan't going to some hall of fame.

fuck i'm pissed off. I went to the DMV yesterday and still want to club baby seals...castle you're cool but ....wow just sit with that.
IN-Sure-ance
