Title: Page Numbering
Post by: Deborah on December 14, 2006, 04:42:42 PM
Hey Milk,
Is there a quick way to get to say, Pg 6 in a long thread when only 1-3 and 10-13 are showing, other than clicking 3 and then next page three times?

Indeed there is!

You simply change the URL part "&start=0". That 0 will become the number (X - 1) * 15. For example, page 6 is reply 75, so page 6 of the long "My kid won't forgive me" thread in the main forum becomes

http://www.fornits.com/wwf/viewtopic.ph ... 7&start=75 (http://www.fornits.com/wwf/viewtopic.php?t=19637&start=75) .

Now if you're looking for a way to do this without algebra, I suppose I can find a "go to page" mod someplace...

Got it. Cool!
Have you heard about this guy... Mike Byster, Math genius... and according to him, anyone can be.

I saw this 20/20 report. One tip was on how to quickly find the answer to any number, squared.
25(25)... Multiply the 2 by the next number up (3) = 6
Multiply the two 5s = 25
Answer= 625

Course, no help if you can't multipy.
I love those short cuts.
