Title: Son found out family secret- acting out now.
Post by: Anonymous on November 12, 2006, 07:28:20 PM: We had a Halloween bash and me and a couple of family members had too much to drink. While drunk, I blurted out that my son was adopted. My son is 15 and I never told him. He has since gotten into trouble with the authorities and has had behavior issues in school. I have invested alot of time and money to to try my best to get him into a great college so he can have a bright future. I am afraid that if I do not act now to intervene on his behalf, my efforts will be for nothing. I have asked him to seek help voluntarily through therapy but he has refused. I am afraid I will have no further recourse than to seek involuntary placement. Is there anything you guys can offer to help our situation? Any programs that you can reccemend in case I must go that route?

Of course there is a risk of being shot (The Danish police do not have tasers or pebber spray. They shoot and in Denmark other policemen investigate their colleagues so they would not be charged.) but often he would just be beaten up as if he was in a program. It is properly cheaper than a program if you choose to let him travel like a back-packer. For more info:

Come to Denmark anyway. Enjoy the beautiful countryside while you tell him that you voleentered for the job as his dad. You took the job because you love him not because it was your duty.
