Title: Should I send my daughter to a program for being too fat?
Post by: Fake Parent Troll on October 04, 2006, 03:42:06 PM
My daughter cannot control her food intake. I have tried everything. I even put a bike lock on the refrigerator door, she snuck out late out at night -- sigh -- for McDonalds dollar menu items. She says ala carte items make her feel less fat. I am at witts end. She is eating herself in oblivion, and I cannot stand to watch her destroy herself for one more day. I am wondering if there are escorts and programs that specialize in behavior modification to train kids not to eat themselves to death.
My daughter doesn't need therapy, she does not have emotional problems. I think it is glandular. I am watching 'The Biggest Loser' on NBC currently, and I want something like that.
She will not go willingly though, so it needs to have boundaries and fences, and I need escorts to pick her up. Instead of picking her up at my home, I hope to meet the escorts at McDonalds to avoid a scene in front of my neighbors. Everyone on this board is so exceptional in nature, I cannot wait for your heartfelt advice on this sensitive matter.
My daughter would kill me if she knew I posted this, but I want you to understand the severity of her problem.

It looks like she is off to a good start with the treadmill. I suggest that she get away from you karen, that can't be good for anybody.

Hello Karen,

I'd like to recommend SIBS, the wave of the future in drug treatment.?
We can also help with an eating disorder.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
Dr. Fucktard

This is not Karen's daughter and we all know that.  Ok, whomever posted this in the first place, if you are for real, there are some people here who might be able to make some suggestions for you, if you are a troll, leave please!

Sure, I'd be glad to. I acquired my incredibly ridiculous nickname from some recalcitrant druggie who was, as per usual, rebelliously acting out in group one day at the St. Petersburg, FL branch of Straight, Inc. You see, my real name is German and sounds (and is spelled) quite a bit like the pejorative in question. This was back in my green years with the program; being unaccustomed to this sort of onslaught at the time, I was a bit flustered by his outburst. In any case, Virgil got a real kick out of it and damn near wet his pants from laughing so hard that day! Ever since then, the nickname just kind of stuck with me.

Your child is watching a role model somewhere.

Who is the role model for her intake of food?

Where are you in the picture? What kind of example regarding exercise do you show her?

When I use my car from work I drive home and walk to the school where I pick up my kids and we then walk together home.

When I am using my bike, I go directly to the school wearing bike helmet just to show them what they shoud be wearing while biking home. (I am a former Ironman and my average speed on a bike is 20-25 mph, which is the other reason for wearing a helmet.)

If you eat healthy food and stops the use of fast food, then she would also eat what you are eating. What is not around, they can't ask for.

Exercise together and you will properly have some fun together.

But isn't there an easier way to get her thin?  I hear what you're saying, but I'd rather pay someone else to make her thin, maybe by isolation and punishment.  I'm not into dieting or exercise, so I won't do that.  Isn't there a program somewhere that will fix her.  I'll pay for it.  No problem.

Karen is a marathon runner and her whole family is fit.
Maybe you should go for Leslie on this one.

Having dealt with Karen, I can say for sure that she is NOT fit - mentally, that is.
