What would such a conservative school think about this Class Action Suit that's been filed?
-
probably the same thing they think of having an openly gay man on the board - NOTHING, unless it bites them...
-
What's that old saying: "Birds of a feather flock together."
How true.....
-
while Buccelato may be on the board of directors, Blue Ridge is actually a pretty reputable prep school, as an ed consultant i wouldnt be surprised if Len made a good impression on a lot of peopel at various reputable prep schools.

HLA and Bludridge seem to have an unspoken arrangement. Blueridge sends some of their poor behavior students to HLA and RCI while HLA sends some of their graduates to Blueridge.
-
yeah they kinda have the same thing going with Christ School in Asheville, NC.

Not anymore. Christ School recently stated that they will no
longer consider students from HLA. The reason being that
they have not had success with HLA students.
So much for helping kids get back on track.
-
wow, and I guess they wont reccomend troubled students be sent thier anymore either, thats how i ended up at HLA in the first place.
-
Wow, I can't believe that about Christ School. The word is spreading fast.
-
it might also be because they have a new headmaster (he was the school principal at the time i was there) and the old headmaster (father Ingersol) was a big HLA supporter apparently, so that could have something to do with it.
-
Will they ask Lenny to resign?
Refuse to take HLA kids?
Serve on the next SACS/SAIS accreditation?
-
I went to HLA for 10 months after my first year at Christ School with a good record. After I was withdrawn from HLA, I went back to Christ School, and that is where I am posting from. So much for Christ School not allowing kids from HLA. Although one other kid who came from there this year did get kicked out for drinking after only a few weeks here. I guess some people just aren't cut out for Christ School.

You were the exception because you had been there before....
-
Or we could be faced with one of two possibilities:
1. The above poster is the student mentioned in the exchange between the parent and the ed con. In the letter the parent mentions that the school in question had stated they would no longer accept students from HLA, however because that particular student had been a student at the school previously an exception would be made.
or....
2. We are simply talking to Nicole or Kathleen again who as we all know are mindless puppets spewing the propoganda they've been instructed to disseminate.
Either one is fine.
