I saw her book avertised on fornits, and you can buy it through Amazon.com she has written a book titled An American Gulag.

Who is this woman?

she wrote an american gulag a few years ago after her sister sent her niece to a  facility. it was primarily about her failed attempts to get the kid out or get any communication to the kid. It also has interviews with families who have sent their kids to such places and with a couple of health care professionals.

I think? most of the names of the schools were changed for legal reasons. For any wider relative of a kid in one of these places it is hardly comforting reading!
