I was in Kids of BC in 1987 for about eight months. I can only imagine how those of you who sent years must have felt when you left. I myself did not know how to start dealing with real life on the outside. I found myself surrounding myself with people who also had left the program at that time, and even dated someone from the program for five years. The frienships I have made through the program are some of the most important relationships in my life. I feel that no matter when we were in or for how long we were in we all share an unbreakable bond that no other person could ever understand. I have found myself meeting up with people from Kids that I have not seen in years and can catch up with them like i spoke to them yesterday, it is proof that these friendships will last a lifetime.
