Sunrise beach shutting down was nothing like the media portrayed it to be.  We were not abused there by anyone but the Mexican government hungry for the almighty $.  They got it, too.  A mother of one of the girls paid a sum of $ to get us out of the country and avoid going to juvinile detention, there.  The mexican officials forced us to sign "our statements" that were written in spanish "or we would never see US soil again".  Steve & Glen Roach-the "abusers" that everyone speaks of sacrificed themselves along with a mexican staff member to get us out of the country and spent time in prison for it.  I will share the whole story with anyone who wants to hear it.
If no one is interested in the truth, then by all means, go ahead and wallow in what you THINK happened there..... :exclaim:  :wave:

Wait are these the same people that ran Monrovia Academy that was shut down in the Czech Republic?

 If so aren't they wanted by INTERPOL and the Czech Police for "child cruelty". Well if you run into them you ought to report them to the police so they can be extradited to the Czech Republic and let justice be served. It sounds like they are just not being responsible and owning up their mistakes.

Steve and Glen were at Cross Creek while I was there.  I'd be very interested to hear what the truth is about what happened in Mexico and in the Czech Republic (if anyone was there) from first hand sources that were actually there.

Hi!  My name is Sandra and I was at Sunrise Beach and Cross Creek!  I was on of the six girls taken from Cross Creek in October of 95 to open up Sunrise Beach.  I was at Sunrise Beach until April of 96 just a month before it was shut down.  I just want to say from my experience:  I hated Cross Creek and loved Sunrise Beach.  Steve and Glenda were like second parents to me.  They were so nice and caring.  All these abuse alligations just have me baffled.  I can not imagine that any of them are true.  Maybe I just didnt see it.  If there is anyone reading this that was in cross creek or sunrise beach in the year of 95-96 then please email me at aubriana2002@yahoo.com

Im always interested in talking to friends i met.
If any of you have the promotional video from Sunrise beach...........I am in it.  :lol:  :lol:
