Rich may be a pain in the ass, but he's a smart dude. Check out Maia Szalavitz telling of how he's gone about trying to smoke these turkeys out for all these years. It's commical as hell on one level, but I'll be damned if he's not pulling off one spectacular, 100 year ambush level Tar Baby routine. Round ... what round is it now? Ya just gotta love it! And think about this here, folks. Watch these turkeys closely. Pay attention to what Brother JEB! has to say. Look for Charlie Crist or Guy Tunnell quoted or mentioned in the news. Whatever moral failing any one of those sanctimonious sadist may choose on which to hold forth, one or a dozen of us crazy bastards can call them on just that very thing in some specific instance w/ wittnesses.

I've been thinking about this a lot. Before I was in Straight, I never thought one way or the other about Jews. To me, they were just another person out there. They didn't bother me and I didn't bother them, and that was fine by me. It was sad to learn about the holocaust in school, that people would open up 'killing factories' in Europe because they hated ALL Jews.
Then when I was in Straight, I always thought to myself, 'Christ, this is like being in some kind of Nazi torture/culture/prison place, like I learned about in school, like they did to them Jews'. At the time, it didn't matter to me that it was run by Jews, I thought it was run by a group of people that "loved" us and were 'dedicated' and HAD to do this to us nasty "druggies" to make us "drug free". No, for years I had no idea that it was run by Jews.
So knowing what I know now, I figure I have a choice, an important choice to make. Do I condemn ALL Jews for the actions of a couple of idiotic people that really need some serious prison time, or do I look at this with responsibility as an adult?
I choose the latter, like I once did when I was a child: "I never thought one way or the other about Jews. To me, they were just another person out there."
Why should I continue permitting Mel and Betty (some real sick people) to take up any more space in my mind than they already have? I will not condemn innocent people because of what Mel and Betty did to me. Why not just take them to court and punish THEM, and the others (Jewish and Non-Jewish alike) who were in on it WITH them?
No, I won't condemn a whole religion because of the actions of a few. I choose to heal just for today..
I am not telling anyone here what to think, this is strictly my view, you all have to decide for yourselves.

I don't blame the Jews specifically but I do blame religion in general. At least for part of it. I'm so sick of religious people trying to "save" everyone. I'm sick of them trying to foist their view of morality on everyone else around them. Religion was the basis for AA which the Straight steps were based on. Miller's "degree" :roll: was in divinity. Yeah, I agree with you there, but I can see where someone might want to use that kind of remark simply out of anger at the Semblers, and meaning no ill to other Jews at all. Tasteless, I agree, and not fair to the other Jews, I know, but I understand the hate felt by the Sembler's victims. I suppose if it had been Mel and Betty Jefferson,, I would've used the term "nigger" in place of "kike", if they'd been Chinese, I may have used "chink", etc. , etc. My intention was merely to express my anger toward the Semblers and not to incite a torrent of ethnic jokes or slurs, so I guess I have failed in that regard.
