Here ya go Jim bob, made a thread especially for you, so that we can chat about your third class citizen automobile.
Beep beep, here comes Jim Bob, in his Hyundai tibby economy car, putt putt putt putt!
-
Now Jim Bob states he has a v6 under the hood and according to Hyundai the most powerful tibby produces 172 hp, from their 2.7 V6, talk about pathetic! Thats sad Jim Bob, real sad...
A 2.7 Liter V6? 2.7? God Damn! thats a small V6, Jesus, and I thought Ford's 3.0 was tiny?
I find it real amazing how these people that cannot afford a real car brag about how bad and quick their economy car is. then they even go to the extremes and put on what I like to call
(Dork mufflers) on them and drive around and think that their car sounds like it has power.
Yeah , far from it. Stupid idiots dont realize that these economy cars need those tiny exhaust pipes so that their is enough back pressure to power the thing.
Its an economy car, its designed to save gas and put third class citizens who can afford a real car behind the wheel. What the hell is so special about that? Go out and get yourself a real American muscle car, then come talk to me.
Fuckin Toyotas, Hyundais, Hondas, Nissians, all cheap third class citizen modes of transportation. Shame on you people that own them!
Get yourself a real job, and make yourself some real money then you will be able to go out and buy a real car.
-
Tibby economy car,Tibby economy car, Beep beep! Here comes Jim Bob...putt putt putt putt putt, 2.7 V6 ::puke:: ::puke:: ::puke:: ::puke::
-
I don't remember saying anything about my Tibby being bad,or fast. I said it was fun and that's my opinion. It's a fun daily driver. So you think I'm a 3rd class citizen because of my choice of transportation? I think that proves that you sir are a 1st class Asshole.
-
Don't even bother man, any idiot that starts talking about cars needing backpressure like they actually know something isn't even worth it.
Point is moot anyway, U.S. car companies will be outta business because the Japs make better cars, period.

Just brought home last night a brnad new Cheverolet Silverado 2500 hd Duramax diesel. Hp is 310 I beleive ands it has 650 ft pd of torque, and this truck can move! Got rear differential locking, and is so fast and powerful, it will pull a house. Go do your homework on the durmax diesel Jim Bob, you'll see what I am talking about.
-
Why don't you go do your homework, and let the adults have a conversation.I don't suppose you would care to share a pic of your new ride?Surely a captain of industry such as yourself would know how to post a pic.

Uhhm, all the pretty girls in his collection of adult magazines?
A duramax huh?
We shall call him: "duramullet"
So Mr Duramullet, Hows it feel to own a brand new truck payment?
Also, how does it feel to spend $100 dollars every time you visit the pump? The silverado 2500 HD duramax gets an immmmpressive 19 miles per gallon!
So, if one gallon takes you 19 miles, and the average monthly miles put on domestic vehicles is about a conservative 1500?
Looks like Duramullet will need 78 gallons of fuel per month at an average cost of $3.25 a gal for deisel.
Which brings his monthly fuel bill to aproximately $234.00
Add that to the truck payment, which I would guess to be in the neighborhood of $550, and full coverage comprehensive insurance an additional $150 monthly for a grand total of $930.00 dollars per month to own the All american duh-ramax Chevrolet penis extention.
If you invested $930 dollars per month in a moderate yeild IRA. You be a millionairess in lessen 20 years.
Congrats on your Brrrrrand neeeeewww truck Mr Duramullet!
I'm so jealeth!
Well, not really.
So lets take a vote shall we?
Have a truck you wont own for 6 years when its value will depreciated to about %10 of what you actually paid for it?
Or be a millionaire in 20 years?

First of all you got the fuel econmy all wrong there Jim Bob, its averages out to be 13.4 according to the onboard computer, and who cares what I paid for it, its a write off. I pull heavy equipment and need a powerful vehicle to pull it. And yes I did take lots of pics, and would be more then happy to share them with you once I upload them and resize them. By the way my payment is less then your way off figures, but I couldnt expect more from a person like you Jim Bob, or can I?
In my opinion, chevy is the BEST!, Who dare to compare and take their vehicle up against a Chevy? Chevy is a power house, plain and simple. And my truck stock is so fast, It will take practically anything on the road off the line in power. With the 4:10 gear ratio, this thing can MOVE! Yesterday I pulled an 8700 pd Kabota up a mountain in idle speed, IDLE SPEED Jim Bob, can your Tibby do that :???: :???: :???: :???:
As Chevy simple so smartly puts it. All hail the king of power and torque! Also picked up a used truck, an 03 with a 6.0 liter, only 21,000, gave me a great deal on that too. That truck has the Vette engine in it, and not only is that truck fast and powerful, but for a 350, it gets pretty great fuel ecocnomy compared to the last old Ford truck I owned that it is replacing. I guess they are suppose to average out somewhere in the 11-14 miles to gallon ratio, my older truck was getting far less. Probably because it was old and alot of miles were on it, i'd say it probably got maybe 6 to the gallon the way it was performing? I dont know, but what I do know is I am very happy with my 2 new trucks, and hope they dont get abused by my employees, at least the 03, the 06 is mine to use.
Been hearing horror stories of the new Ford diesels (06) Head gaskets been blowing, that aint good and turned me off to Fords Trucks. Always bought Ford trucks, had a chevy truck long ago back in the 80's, but it had no where near the power it has now. Everything about Chevy is superior to Ford or dodge. Chevy's have bigger stronger tranmissions, more hp and torque, faster exceleration. Chevy always one up Ford and Dodge, but after being in a Ford for all this time then trying out a Chevy, its the difference between night and day.
Also, all the Chevy trucks stock radios display the name of the artist and song on the radio, and this is a regular radio I am talking about, not XM. Personally, I really wasnt that big of a fan of the Chevy truck looks, I thought they are the ugliest of the big 3. Ford has the best looks for a truck, but after owing my 2 new work horses for this little time, I have grown to a liking of their looks. My acccountant advised me that I should buy at least 2 new trucks this year, it should save me a shit load of $$$$$$ come tax time next year. With Chevys incentives, and rebates I got a very good sweet deal on the LT version of the Duramax. They wanted $43,000 and change, I got it down to $35,550, that aint bad knowing that the duramax engine with the alison transmission is a $8500.00 option Also this thing is loaded with leather and has the luxury package. Heated seats, 8 way power seats, ect, ect. New leather in a new truck is about the finest smell in the world, except maybe for pussy. (1979 Christine movie humor).
So Jim Bob, go ahead and make fun of my new trucks, but keep in mind, my Durmax could pull your house with ease.
The dealer had another 03 for sale there with the 8.0 liter, which is a 490 cubic inch engine, big block they call it. Truck looked real nice, had all the extras on it, stainless steal step bars, tonnoue ( I think I mispelled that wrong) cover, intake vents on the hood, but they were cosmetic. Truck smelled so bad from the prior owner, who was a heavy heavy smoker, also the seats were stained with lots of smoke from him smoking. But god damnb, that thing had some serious power, but I made the right choice and went with the 6.0, I can only imagine how bad the 8.0 got on mileage. Oh and you are wrong about diesel prices, they are $2.87 here, 2 cents cheaper then regular.

I tried to come up with a little interesting dialogue to say "no" instead of just saying uhhmm, no Jimmy"
You hurt my feelings man!
Ok, I made that last part up.
But hey, if it will make you feel better, we can engage in further banter and argue back and forth about who would win a race between you and I...
Im sure someone will fill in as me, or you can just continue assuming that any random post is mine and respond accordingly.
Like I said, if I happen to post here, it will be civil.
P.S.
I drive a 02 F-250
No exhaust mods, or shiny spinny wheels, no hos in the back seat. Just a stock truck. Oh wait, theres a neoprene seat cover, a spray in BL'er and a fiberglass canopy with my good ole trusty Thule bike rack on top. Is that enough to put a John Holmes sticker next to my name?
Damn, I shoulda asked the dealer if it would pull a house, sunofabich!

Jimmy dont play the game here man. Its so silly to see so many people assume this post is from that person, and that post is from this person.
The rare civil conversations here are very difficult to get involved with because of the infiltration of idiots who have no communication skills other than to belittle others and degrade people they dont know anything about.
I cant imagine the worthless lives these people live who type such elaborate, sick, and offensive crap?
I used to let it irritate me a little, but you know as well as I do these people need watever attention they can get.
Shame they get it in an anon role with such negative garbage.
I have no complaints about my bedliner. But I took some steps to avoid the common problems they have.
I cleaned the bed very good myself with a 200 grit sanding sponge and then wiped the whole thing down with laquer thinner. Then I primed it with red oxide primer and immediately had the bedliner sprayed on the next day. None of the common issues of peeling and scratching or bubbles have come up, and I use the crap out of that bed.
The truck has been good to me. Ive put 150k miles on it!
Three weeks ago, the head decided it was going to reject a sparkplug. Those 5.4 litre tritons are notorious for spitting out plugs (google 5.4 triton spark plug) Youll find a million people whove had the same thing happen. Just spits them out and takes the threads with them!
Helicoils are only a temp fix, and they have a habit of coming lose too and dropping into the cylinder and causing damage to it and the piston.
Ford has refused to acknowledge an issue with the heads they put in these trucks (99-05) they are soft, and only tapped with three freakin plug threads!
Rather than just get a new head installed, which would have been about $3200 with labor, I elected to get a new motor put in.
$5500 dollars (Ouch) but I get a 4/40 warranty with it. Also had the tranny serviced and a new heavy duty torque converter installed. As well as a split borla exhaust, a beefed up tranny cooler, and the good ole K&N cold air intake/filter system thats been in my garage for a year.
Seemed like the right time to do it.
I get it back tomorrow.
You should quit this place man, Go to alum and make the best of it. Ill join you and make an effort to post more over there about whatever comes up.
Just too many fools in here to deal with, which Im sure we'll see more of soon enough.
I know I said I was leaving here, and I intend to.
The disgusting dialogue effects my attitude and just puts me in a foul mood sometimes. Not that I take anything anyone here says personally, theres not a soul here who knows anything relevant about me.
But reading the crap in here is such a waste of time, and would be very embarassing if the three awesome ladies in my life found out I even look in here! (theyre out shopping for summer clothes...or I wouldnt be here!)
If I happen to post, youll know its me, there will be no question. I have nothing to hide. I spell and punctuate properly, and gratuitous profanity isnt my style.
As for "Youre a little bitch"
Get a grip dude

You got taken to the cleaners.I sell these motors all the time( your right about the heads,I see it regularly). I get 2400 bucks/plus core 3/100 parts and labor. If you have a problem with my motor in 3 years. I replace the engine,AND pay the re-install.
Ford uses a Loctite type substance on the threads at the factory, whereas our rebuilder does not.

Wouldnt this entire situation with the spark plugs blowing up be considered under the lemon law? I mean that is some serious issues, not to mention costly. This is why I went from Ford to chevy, I had an older Ford and an 03 with a diesel that I sold not long ago, the older one was built well, but started to become not reliable after 142,000. I use it as a company vehicle and demand alot from it, so I needed something reliable and strong. The Chevy's power is far more superior then Fords, I couldn't beleive how much more better quality is put in to the chevy vs the ford. The drive train alone on the chevy is 3 times the six of the fords. The single cylinder distributor concept is neat and smart, there is plenty of extra room under the hood to work on the chevy vs the ford.
Also the chevy is very economical on fule compared to my older ford, at least for me it is. The chevy saved me about a 1/2 tank of gas vs the ford under the conditions I generally use it for,a nd this is running the AC when towing up hills also.

No, I got a new crate motor built in Spokane Wa to fords specs, instead of a reman like you sell.
I got a 4/40 warranty good at ANY ford dealer.
I got a new torque converter, new water pump, 8 new coils, new plug wires and boots, K&N and Borla exhaust installed, and some mighty fancy paper floor mats!
Dood?
-
hey if your happy with it .. thats all that matters...You didnt mention the other stuff that came with it.. those individual coils are expensive
My reman is warrantied at over 500 locations coast to coast, have not had any comebacks in 6 mos of using this company.
best of luck..... Wish i had some paper floor mats
-
Hey thanks. I was a little sarcastic, sorry.
Ill sell you some slightly used paper floor mats for the low low rice of $1499.00

I THINK ITS A NICE LOOKING CAR JIM
-
Sweet! I just bought a new car today, my Celica GT finally died at 300,000 miles...
-
Jim Bob, I see we have the same taste in stereo equipment, I have the alpine face unit and 6 cd changer, but my amps of choice I use are Memphis audio M-class 4 channel and a Memphis audio M class 2 channel for the sub. The sub is an enclosed box like yours powered by two 12 inch power bass or base, not sure how its spelled by them, speakers. I also have the lows and highs coming from the doors through Memphis speakers with directional tweeters.
Beleive it or not I saw a tibby today, not that bad looking of a car, I expected it too look more like a cheap hyundai. Hyundai has come along way in their redesigns, and they look much better then they did in the late 80's and 90's, only thing, the guy driving it had trouble passing me up the mountain, he just couldn't over power the Silverado HD in power.
Jim Bob, I was curious, I never heard a complete Alpine system like you have together, you seem to have everything alpine, which is good and top of the line if I do say so myself, hows everything sound together? I heard certain alpine amps werent all that good as there face units. I was going to buy one then I was turnined on by the clarity and crisp highs from the Memphis M class amps, which are the Mercede Benzs of amps. I have an older Alpine face unit which I paid about $400.00 and change 5-6 yrs ago, its ai-net compatable and has a remote, never had one single problem with it as of yet. This is the 3rd vehicle it has been installed in. Also got another Alpine face unit in my wifes suv, just bought it not long ago, it was a cheap alpine with no remote from crutchfeild, I think its only 16wx4, sounds real good though, no remote though, paid $119.00 new for it.
I also got a kenwood parametric eq hooked up to my system, sounds really awesome. Just came back from the dealer where I bought my 2 new trucks and the salesman was so impressed with the sound he called more of his salesmen friends to come and listen to it.
I really am a huge fan of Alpine, I think they are some of the best cd units built. Clarion use to be side by side with them, but alpine is in a league of their own.
How those 12's sound? Do they have a remote bass control? I'll join that place where you hosted your pics and post mine, I gotta take pics of my system yet, my door speakers are hidden behind the factory grills and I dont feel like taking off the skins again.
-
"I also have the lows and highs coming from the doors through Memphis speakers with directional tweeters. "
Sorry, I meant mids and highs coming from the doors.
-
Shocking to see the Tib get a little respect. My amp is an older model. The 357 was the shit 5 yrs ago. That amp and the subs were in my intrepid for 2 yrs. I highly recommend the type R subs. Yes I have remote bass control. I am a big fan of Memphis and plan on getting one of their amps if the 357 ever dies. I'm not sure it will though. That thing will make your hair move at 3/4 vol and made my G/F puke once. Good times. If I ever buy subs again I'll go with W-7's probly. JL is the shit too. I don't recommend the new Alpine Type R components. The tweeters suck. Fortunately I have a spare set of older Type R tweets that are much better. On a side note, If also got the Alpine Sirius tuner box and I hardly ever play CD's anymore.
-
Before buying Memphis I had a U.S, Acoustic 4 channel amp, it was pretty good and reasonably priced. also was using a very old peice of shit pyramid 2 channel amp for the subs, this amp was from the 80's, and had a ton of distortion.
Well once I heard how clear the Memphis were, I was sold, also needed to replace my U.S, Acoustic 4 channel amp because one of the channels crapped out on me. I was told how much better Memphis was and souned, and also that they were digital amps and used less eneregy, well that was bullshit. I had to add a second battery because the 2 channel would draw so much power, that my battery needle would go crazy and get a huge power drain. Once I added an addtional battery I had a total of 1475 amps, and never had a power drain experience again.

Pink, I find it very unreal a person like you who can only afford used 16 year old vehicles would even have the balls to participate in this conversation. You sit here and bad mouth Chevy and are Mr. Toyota for life and here are the reason's why.
#1 You cant afford to buy a new car,you dont even have credit to purchase a real cell phone.
#2 You live with your parents and are still a kid that has no direction or ambition in life to better yourself yet.
3# If Toyotas are so great, then why are there more older american cars on the road then Toyotas? I never see any Toyotas from the 60's,70's and hardly from the 80's still in operation on the road. Yes alot of those older cars that are classics are rebuilt or in some cases taken very well care of, but noone in their right mind would rebuild a japanase car from that era.
Chevy/GMC will always be the best built cars and trucks, they put alot of value for your dollar into their vehicles and now these days are priced right. Alot of stuff that comes standard on Chevy is optional an all others.

Oh I've seen them Pink, back in the 80's. Matter of fact one of my old friends from back in the days, his dad had a datsun z.
See I am talking about today, I see lots of old American cars that are 30-50 yrs of age out on the road and running, never do I see or have seen a Jap car that old on the road.
-
There were quite a few of those at the Barrett Jackson car auction a few weeks back. They went for a fairly hefty price too.
-
Jim Bob, I ran across a shell of a 69 camaro for sale, its missing a front end. What do you thinks shes worth? Not sure if she even has an engine. Shes been sitting for sometime now, on pavement though.
-
I can agree with you on that, there are probably more, and older American cars than Jap cars on the road today - but the Japanese didn't really start to cream the U.S. auto industry until recently.
In 40 years, you can expect the tables to be reversed.

I honestly prefer superchargers, just a preference on light 4-bangers, but some of the new turbos they're coming out with have almost no turbo lag whatsoever, power comes on smooth and fast through all the RPMs. I'm waiting for the cash to upgrade the turbo in my GT-4 (All-Trac) but thats looking like a (down)pipe dream for now
