We need donations of food, beverages, paper plates/cups, trash bags, volunteers for "grunt work", artists, performers, dj's, referrals, advice, and anything else that might help our cause.

My advice is to bring everyone else you know into it and make it one big party.
Don't emphasize the 'charity' part too hard, just make it sound like fun.
