Maybe it's because she's Mary Ann, Ginger, and Mrs. Howell, all rolled into one.

When the search function finally gets fixed, run a search on "Gilligan".  You'll get a few hits now, but the "Greg LeClaire - Ocala Mechanic" thread doesn't show up.  In fact, even searching for "Ocala" doesn't produce this thread.  Is it lost?

bomb = bomba
pump = bomba

It's called a homograph. Inglés has those too.

Definition

Here are three senses of homonym.

    *

A word that has the same pronunciation as another. Homonyms differ from each other in
          o meaning
          o origin, and
          o usually spelling.

      Also known as:

      homophone (sense 2)

Helps to have sense.

This reminds me of the time the waiter in Mexico offered the American guy smoked chicken in Spanish, and he thought he wanted to "smoke his pole".  :D

Maybe somebody should start a "Linguistics" thread.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this tropic port,
aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man,
the skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day,
for a three hour tour, a three hour tour???
The weather started getting rough,
the tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew,
the Minnow would be lost; the Minnow would be lost.
The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,
with Gilligan, the Skipper too,
the Millionaire, and his Wife,
the Movie Star, the Professor and Mary Ann,
here on Gilligan's Isle.

So this is the tale of our castaways,
they're here for a long, long time.
They'll have to make the best of things,
it's an uphill climb.
The first mate and his skipper too,
will do their very best,
to make the others comfortable,
in the tropic island nest.
No phones, no lights, no motor cars,
not a single luxury.
Like Robinson Crusoe,
it's primitive as can be.
So join us here each week my friend,
you're sure to get a smile.
From seven stranded Castaways,
Here on Gilligan's Isle.

I used to have a bamboo smoking aparatus that I referred to as "Gilligan's Bong". We had a daily ritual of smoking out of it at 4:20, while watching Gilligan's Island. Use to always laugh to myself thinking about how we sang that song in LIFE.

What exactly does something have to look like to be referred to as "Gilligan's Bong"?

It was made from a section of bamboo, roughly 10 inches long, and maybe 2 1/2-  3 inches in diameter. This had a piece of coconut shell attached to the bottom, to form the base, so it could stand up vertically. About 1/3 of the way up from the bottom, a much smaller piece of bamboo (1/3" x 5") was insterted into it at about a 45 degree angle, forming the stem. We used a nice little cone-shaped seashell for the bowl. It screwed right into the stem perfectly. Then we had another little shell that was more like a clamshell. It was glued on to the side, just below the bowl, to catch the stuff that would fall when packing the bowl, and would also hold a little more, for when it needed to be repacked. Fill it about 1/3 of the way up with water, pack, light, and choke.

Greg was in the Seed too along with me. I don't remember him, but he does me. He greeted me quite cordially when I entered, so you can you know treat him with some respect too.
